I was turned down for a job as a speechwriter for the American Ambassador a few years back.
I find that a bit upsetting, given some of the bollocks the Presidents you've elected since have dropped in speeches that shouldn't have been allowed to escape in any form, never mind without tidying up a bit so they don't sound like they've been translated from the Klingon.
Presumably St James' Court has higher standards for speechwriters than the White House...

Are you calling me a liar, Yngblk?  Let me guess.  Are you one of those people who are more frightened by the thought of getting up in front of people and talking, than you are of cancer, death of a loved one, or your own death for that matter?  It's a very common phobia.  Do you piss your pants just thinking about it?  Well, I have no problem stepping onto a stage, or into the middle of the circle, or climbing up on the base of a statue with a megaphone, and working a rally crowd to that point where the cops start huddling with their radios.  Forensics looks damn good on a resume, and bringing home trophies for the school team paid for a nice chunk of my higher education, too.

Wouldn't a truth prompter be more suitable for the likes of Bachmann and the looney Right? They seem to have all kinds of difficulties telling the truth as things stand. I'm sure they'd appreciate all the help they can get in this area.

And I do hope some one is working on an IQ prompter for the Right too. We don't want another Bush do we?

So it really fucks with your self-esteem to think that what turns you into a quivering mass of useless little pussy, is no big deal for me, huh?  Cool.  The box of old trophies and plaques from when I was competing is buried pretty deep in the garage, but I'd dig it out this weekend for a pic to post, if I thought you were man enough to return to the thread after I posted it.
