shorty21 -> Yay me!!! (7/28/2011 11:57:54 AM)

so i went to the doctor today... Exactly 3 years ago today i weight 667 pounds.... Now i know big women should usually be ashamed of their weight and so on and so forth but i have lost HALF that body weight!!! The current weight is 331 and right now i dont give a flying squirrels ass what names people call me thats a DAMN good change for me and i think i deserve to brag a bit and say if you have MAJOR weight loss goals hang in there... It is tough and exhausting with the loss of weight then the stops then the gain and loss and start all over.... It will happen though!!!

Off to celebrate with light dinner and 2 mile walk around the lake if my legs and back will take it!

(mind you this weight loss was done with 1 of those years in a wheelchair and several health issues which slowed and sometimes all out stalled progress such as degenerative bone disease and arthritis in the back and knees and PsuedoTumor Cerebri)

a complete diet overhaul... Once you truly realize the type of crap and amount your putting into your body it can make you naseous... Smack the spelling failry im excited lol... Its not only about what but about hout much.... I cut out soda... When i had to have something flavored and sparkly it was crystal light flavor packet and diet tonic water!

exercise was a beast due to my disabilities but a local lifestyler donated time in His indoor pool when i needed it and use of a small home gym even going to the extent of exchanging His purchase of specific equipment for me making floggers and canes for His collection. luck was on my side for that one.... another bit of luck i guess was a medication that was supposed to help my legs but it did squat for my legs and actually curbed my appetite a great deal!! the nutritionist said it was ok so i continued the new medicine for a different reason. Unfortunately my legs still hurt like hell!!

joined a support group called Overeaters Anonymous.... twelve steps and such... turned out to be a great support system...

thats about it......

It takes support and a great deal of willpower and sometimes medicinal help....

erieangel -> RE: Yay me!!! (7/28/2011 5:43:38 PM)

CONGRATS!!!!

I wish I had your willpower and I need only to take off about 100. OA didn't help me when I went, it was nothing more than a bunch of middle aged, middle class women bitching about their husbands and kids and jobs and that's why they eat so much...I tend to over eat when I'm depressed, so I try not to get depressed.

barelynangel -> RE: Yay me!!! (7/28/2011 5:50:14 PM)

Amazing success OP, congrats.  Way to keep your determination to reach your goals!!   It can be done!
