Just curious if there has ever been a Collarme meet and greet function somewhere within the US. Seems like such a good idea to me, but hey, what do I know?

I realize the logistics of such would be a challenge, but not entirely impossible. Not to mention we have here some of the more resourceful, exceptionally talented folks on the planet.

Just pitching in my 47 cents worth (was 2 cents, but due to gas prices nowadays, well, you get the picture)

Topeka, Kansas or someplace in Nebraska. Those two places seem to be in the middle of the USA. Course that doesnt help those outside of the US <s>

I think you all should come to oz for a meet and greet. Actually, If I'm still hanging around on these boards, Master wants to take me on a holiday over there at some point next year...would be good to meet up with some of you.

Years ago, I put together a meet and greet called "Cyber-Jam" and you are right, it was an organizational nightmare, but it turned out wonderful, with 556 attendees <s>

slavejali, you are one of the posters that i like to read the most.  it would truly be an honor to meet you.

a meet and greet just sounds like fun to me.  i love meeting new people.  i'm not very good at the small talk, but i love to listen just to see what i might hear...lol.

Now that's what I'm talking about. Collectively we would seem to be a group of tremendously resourceful individuals. Thus the very reason for me wondering if anyone has ever pulled such an event off yet.

But if it ever does come to fruition, I would venture to guess there would be quite a few folks that could assist in some shape, form or fashion. I know I would volunteer my services, hmmm.... whatever that might be?

Sounds like a neat idea.  Of course, I'm a relative 'newbie', so I spend more time reading and absorbing than posting so far. [:D]

Not sure that i would ever attend one for CM, but I have attended other online M&Gs.  Not being a fan of large groups, though, I'd probably end up leaving within an hour.  Than again, I am slightly sociopathic. *chuckling softly*

I like the idea of a meet and greet and would attend if possible. Maybe having several in various locations at approximately the same time would work? I live way out in the tulies in southern NM, but my girl is in southern CA, so I...we...would go to one if it were held there. Maybe there could be one on each coast and a couple in the middle of the country, and we could have some kind of internet video link?

I should ad, I am very open to holding a meet on properity. Bring bug spray and camping gear and I'll get back to welding up the crows cages.

Hey, if you are all serious about this..my suggestion would be to hold it in Las Vegas. You can get really cheap flight and accommodation packages from anywhere in the USA...and also... if we all meet and hate each other...there is always a ton of other stuff to do...just a suggestion.[:)]
