of the rocks and the spit,
or losing my shit
and preaching to flies
trapped in glue.

And I'm not afraid
of the killers and clowns,
or getting chased out of towns
and staging the
subsequent coup.

And I'm not afraid
of the divine mutilation
of eternal salvation,
or giving the devil
his due.

I'm only afraid
of the tyranny and fame,
the cruelty and shame
of the god I'll become
without you.
