Of course what you do is important. But what you think is as well. Here's an example. I have people in my family who believe themselves to be Christians. They volunteer their time to do "good deeds." And yet, their thoughts about everyone and everything are so negative and pompously self righteous it negates any possible "goodness" derived from their actions. You know, the "Jesus loves me, but he can't stand you" mentality of some fundamentalist Christians. BTW: That I chose supposed Christians was b/c I had a good familial example, please feel free to insert any other "ism" you wish. As to your question (great question, BTW), I would want to know if there is other physical life (human or otherwise) in the world. And, I mean higher life similar to us. I already know there is spiritual life, I've "met" it. Has anyone else ever encountered unexplained spiritual entities? What were the circumstances?

I was in church one day and the pastor said that we can not only not commit adultery, we can't even think about another person in that way. That was the day I stopped going to church. Really? I can't even think about another man in a sexual manner, even if I don't act on it? What in the world would I think about, then? I can think a lot of awful things about people. I like to think that my actions can overcome my petty thoughts. ETA - for example, a man who my love asked for a jump once was a complete jerk to him. Said something rude and nasty and walked away from him. Of course, the first reaction is "What a dick!" But I reviewed the situation and thought, how do we know that he didn't just find out he has cancer, or something else happened in his life to make him act like that? I took action to change my thought about him.

I think Jesus was a human prophet...nothing mystical about him. I believe science and faith are one in the same. I believe when we die we return to what we originally were...atoms....and we're recycled into the universe. I believe that when the bible used numbers they weren't literal, they were mystical kabbalah numbers....they were symbolic because they were thought to contain mystical properties, especially the numbers 3, 7 and 10.

" In the old days bodies were buried and the nutrients they used from the planet were returned to the soil. Now bodies are buried in cement vaults, which prevents it from happening. The minerals used to contruct and operate the human body are no longer returned to the soil for plants to turn into new nutrients for the future generations. This was not an act of God. Who came up with this idea ? The idea of six feet deep was to keep the rotted corpse from smelling up the place. It gave enough time for the body to completely rot. This was the cycle of life and death, or more aptly put the recycle of life and death. This has been thwarted by Man. And don't eat meat and dairy at the same time. What kind of fucking logic is that ? Better to adopt Shintoism and die for the Emporer. T^T

Here goes : Look at all the geological activity on and in this planet, and the life cycle that goes on on the surface. Considering that, do you believe that the Earth is alive ? I know there is a name for that belief, but do you believe it ? And if you do, does it seem to follow that the universe itself is a form of life ? Yes, no, or a three hundred page essay. Your call. A forth kind of Spirit is non human Spirits, they are not ghosts, they are non physical beings who can be friendly or unfriendly to human beings but who usually is very alien from us. I also think that some ghost phenomena is the psychic phenomena that comes from the people that witnesses it and is not a Spirit at all so I think the question about ghosts is a complex one that have many explanations. I don't believe there is an absolute limit, no; but, I do believe there is a limit, in that, eventually - even though there is no scientific explanation for WHY it happens - the body begins to wrinkle, organs begin to shut down, bones get weaker, etc. And, even in the cases of people who remain fairly healthy, it appears that some of them simply get tired of living, and, decide to die. It's not suicide, it's just .. time to go. So, apparently, the limiting factors are, whatever your body gets up to and whatever your spirit gets up to. Obviously, things such as pollution (air, water, of our bodies) makes a difference, though. Though, as a side note, I have to say that I haven't noticed that the generations are living longer in America, since I have known several people who lost their children to diseases, cancers, etc. My grandmother only fairly recently died, and, most of her grandchildren were already experiencing some of the infirmities that go with sliding into old age, some of her children were already dead. Maybe over all that is true, so I'm not arguing the point, but, speaking of personal observation.

That was not a very respectfully phrased question and this thread is not about insulting other people's beliefs. Not to mention, that people were asked to try to refrain from cussing. If the question was asked in a more respectful manner, it would be interesting, though, and, it would have an answer. Starting with, "don't boil a calf in its mothers milk" does not prohibit the eating of meat and dairy at the same meal. So, from my point of view, anyone who went beyond that would be being excessively zealous, rather than zealous to the proper degree. Unless, of course, it was for the sake of their own personal digestion.

I am a transhumanist, no I do not think there is a limit to how long we can live, I think science will break down every barrier in time and I think it will come a time when we will be free of the horrid disease which is aging and we will have unlimited lifespans, I also think that those of us that are young today might live to see that and therefore it is a good possibility that we that are alive today never will have to grow old and die but that we have the possibility of living forever. I also believe that there are Spiritual solutions to aging, that occultism can be used to make oneself unaging so one can in theory live forever. I wish you well

I believe god created the heavens and earth like it says in the old testament there's no other reasonable explanation but I'm more than willing to listen to other views on the subject. I was raised as a Christian since a child and that's all I know. I also know that there has been many things said in the bible that has already come true and comes true on a daily basis. You would actually have to read it to know what I'm talking about but there is so many people who can't even comprehend what is being said or who haven't read it from Genesis to Revelation. In our life time we are at the part where things will start coming true that's in the the Book of Revelation. There was many promises made after the old testament that god would never reveal himself to the world like how he use to talk to his believers. He also promised it would never flood the world and wipe out all the non believers like he did in the old testament. I'm saying this since alot people say if there's a god why don't he do something why does he let people die and watch from afar. If he did he would be breaking the promise that is stated in the bible. It clearly states he won't reveal himself to until the end of times which would be the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Also Christians don't call Jesus Christ "God". Gods took the body of Jesus Christ and spoke through him with the holy spirit. Till this day anyone who is baptized gives up their body to God and he will use it through the holy spirit to get his message to everyone in the world. I can be here all day talking haha. So you know I haven't picked up a bible in over 5 years since my brother was brutally stabbed by his best friend back on 06/06/2006 Also I'm Malesub2011 my account password wasn't working for the message boards so I made a new one
