ORIGINAL: Ishtarr I don't think that wearing heels 24/7 is realistic. But I can't really say, I certainly have never tried it. However, I don't see your concern for doing household chores in heels either. I love high heels, especially stilettos. I currently own 46 pair. Before an ankle injury unrelated to wearing heels prevented me from wearing heels for more than a couple of hours at a time, I often did chores in heels. I see no reason why one can't do laundry, or do the dishes, or vacuum, or do the windows, in heels, I've done it often enough because I squeezed chores in between doing other things and I didn't want to change shoes 10 times a day. For other chores, like cleaning the bathroom, garage or basement I'd change my foot ware, but that's more because I was concerned about ruining the heels than that it was actually impossible to do those things in heels. But then again, I used to be able to wear rather high heels for an entire day, from the moment of getting dressed to the moment of getting undressed, and have no problem with pain in my feet or legs at all, even if I was on my feet for most of the day. I miss those days... You just need to give your feet the time to gradually get used to increasingly higher heels for increasingly longer periods of time. As long as you maintain a good posture in heels, instead of leaning or slouching you wont get back problems either, unless you're already prone to it. As far as tendons tightening up, I have noticed that when I wore heels almost everyday, so I worked in a 10 min morning and evening stretch in my schedules and the problems disappeared. Ishtar My hats off to you. I could barely walk in the damn things, let alone try to do anything. Thank the goddess most people don't expect me in anything but sneakers or sandals.
