But at least they are having a debate, most denominations have edicts from above and I mean above such as direct conversations with god but only those in charge have such conversations of course.

I grew up Episcopalian and as soon as I got old enough to make my own decisions, I got out of it. The church is definitely divded and has been for as long as I can remember. I wouldnt be shocked if it split completely with the old ways conservatives and the new way moderates. Actually it would probably be a good thing.

I was kinda thinking here that I've heard somewhere about the new denomination 'Ecopapalian'. Almost exactly the same thing, except now the 'piss' is scared out of them!

Ah, the blind leading the blind. I do not see the love, I see the hypocrisy.

I guess it depends what type of message you are trying to send out. You certainly are not a source of strength when your leader caves in more than you do. Nothing wrong with admitting he is homosexual though. There is just everything wrong with it if you are practicing it. If you have no problems with it, fine, just do not bring a whole denomination down with you.

That makes you scum in My books, putting your own interests above and beyond that of 57 million people. And you are supposed to be a leader? Yeah. Right.
