Aswad -> WBC (8/3/2011 6:38:39 AM)

Seems the WBC is planning to picket the funerals after the Utøya massacre. (Direct link to flier.)

I wonder if they are aware that free speech laws in Norway do not extend to picketing funerals?

Or that the law could be (ab)used to remand them to psychiatric care or up to 21 years in prison?

They will surely be missed... [sm=biggrin.gif]

Health,
al-Aswad.

Edit: Flier moved to seperate link.

mnottertail -> RE: WBC (8/3/2011 6:40:26 AM)

please remove this thread, we dont want them knowing that,  and thanks Norway for taking care of our problem.

Marc2b -> RE: WBC (8/3/2011 6:43:27 AM)

Do not remove this thread!

Let them leave the U.S.A. !

As soon as they are gone we should cancel their passports and deny them re-entry!

Ya, I know that is unfair to Norway but this is our chance to get rid of these fuckers! Let's not blow it!

Anaxagoras -> RE: WBC (8/3/2011 7:04:07 AM)

Perhaps they could be diverted en route to Norway due to turbulence or some such, and end up in Russia protesting a mob funeral! I get the distinct impression the authorities there devote relatively little time to enforcing such ephemeral issues as freedom of speech. [;)]

If they're missed, I hope the police aim better the second shot.

Is that volcano in Iceland still active?

"Ladies and gentlemen if you look to your left you will see the volcano that caused such havoc with flights recently. To increase your viewing pleasure we are decending and opening the door. Please feel free to lean over for a good look... a little more please.... just a little more."

Moonhead -> RE: WBC (8/3/2011 7:24:43 AM)

That'd endanger the other passengers and the crew, though.
Maybe dropping them off in Iceland and letting them swim to Norway instead?

Aswad -> RE: WBC (8/3/2011 7:31:59 AM)

A rough translation of the polite comment by the police would be:

"I can only confirm that this could possibly be the most inadvisable idea in the world at this time."

Of course, if anyone gets a heads-up, I'll be happy to let some people know that there are haters in need of hugs and kisses on the way. [;)]

Health,
al-Aswad.

Ja, since Minnesota is some 90%+ scandinavian, that's why they call us Minnesota nice.

Been acting up lately, so we're probably going to see more action from there.

Perhaps they will volunteer to go have a look at Katla. The eruptions that were covered in the media (Eyafjelljökul) were of the secondary branch of the same caldera. The main branch is Katla, and it looks like there may be a rank 6 eruption in the works. Iceland is monitoring it carefully. A rank 6 eruption would render air traffic rather unviable for a long time, to say nothing of the masses of water (about fifteen million cubic feet per second).

I'm all for having them relocated to the top of the glacier that is pushing down on the caldera below.

Gives us all a chance to see if they're right, no? [8D]

Health,
al-Aswad.

If they are truly sincere and not hate-vomiting, hypocritical media whores, they won't come to this site to be sullied. Go WBC, go!!!!! I'll donate some cash for airfare.

My apologies to Norway before the fact, but we really would appreciate it!!

kat321 -> RE: WBC (8/3/2011 2:08:02 PM)

They also don't know (or care) about this:

Hey, Norway, can we send ya some economists too?

I believe so. It seems to flare up every summer now at the height of the tourist season which is just what suffering European economies need. I believe the areas where that volcanic ash is problematic is supposedly difficult to predict... [;)]

Perhaps there would be a limited number of parachutes? "Ladies and gentlemen, unfortunately we have run out of parachutes so there will not be enough for the self-styled "fag-free" section at the rear of the plane."

Depends. If you're thinking about Geller, I would imagine we could find a dark dungeon for her somewhere. Not in mine, of course. [:D]

Someone to explain basic math to our government would be equally welcome, just in an office instead.

But I figure I prolly missed the reference.

Better yet, either include something indecent about the chute...

... or paint a Vendetta mask on the release handle.

al-Aswad.

Lucylastic -> RE: WBC (8/3/2011 6:50:48 PM)

They, (WBC) were hoping to picket the funeral of beheading victim Tim McLean Jr. but were turned away at the Canadian border. This was back in 2008. May people bitched about free speech, but their rights dont top the law of another country.

Thank you so much for posting this article.

It was very uplifting and made me feel good.

That was true bravery.The truest.

Heading INTO fire to save people`s lives is about as unselfish as one can be.

I wonder if RuPaul is free to be a flight attendant on that flight? Does anyone have that agent's number??

Termyn8or -> RE: WBC (8/4/2011 1:11:41 AM)

Probably 86
