Please explain to me how being rude and insultive to a nice ladies sincere question is funny?

ArtfulTrainer -> RE: Why Do Men Resent Getting Email? (5/20/2006 6:43:43 AM)

Why would I post a profile if I'm not interested in meeting people?
I enjoy receiving email from subs. I figure if you were interested and brave enough to write, then that counts for something, and I will reply even if it is a (polite) "I'm not interested".
Perhaps some men are so swamped with email that it is a nuisance to them, or perhaps that is their online "Top persona".

xxmstrchasxx -> RE: Why Do Men Resent Getting Email? (5/21/2006 9:00:43 AM)

I have to agree with VikingHouse, it has to be the dislike of fishing. j/k

Actually, I have had subs tell me they don't initiate contact first with a Dom out of respect..  I also have had Doms tell me they won't talk with a sub that contacts them first.

Me personally, I have never been rude to a sub who has contacted me first.

Eroticsoulcatchr -> RE: Why Do Men Resent Getting Email? (5/21/2006 8:42:53 PM)

I think the real question is here, why don't women answer theirs?

Sinergy -> RE: Why Do Men Resent Getting Email? (5/21/2006 10:11:58 PM)

My doctor tells me that I am male (XY chromosome, etc)

I have never once resented getting an email.

I am sorry to mess up the post topic, but still.

In all seriousness with all the emails I have sent out on here, and they were not rude or anything, I have never gotten a reply. On the other hand, I have answered all those that emailed me.

I personally have no issues with a sub/slave emailing me first. Its not as if I own anyone in the first place.

If this is any help, from a females point of view....  The only time I do not answer emails is when they seem like form letters that are written very generically and it is obvious that a person wrote it and sent it to every girl in his area.  OR the person is married.  Or its a one liner like  "Hi, want to chat", or it's addressed as "hello sub" or "hello slave". Or some other moronic statement ranging from "Im well hung and know how to use it" to "I'll make you dripping wet and having you cumming so hard, you'll pass out".   Also if any of the aformentioned lines are in their profile, or something similar to that,  it will also keep me from responding.  If however, someone writes a coherhent and polite note, even if short, I will respond in kind, even if I do not feel we have anything in common, I will write back and say just that. I've actually had people write back and say "thanks anyway, best of luck".
As far as submissives/slaves being the first to approach.  That is something that I very rarely do.  Why?  I'm not sure.

I like what you had said, but I do not approach them with "Hi sub or slave" or anything of that nature myself. I might as well be trolling in my view if that were the case, nor are any of mine set as some sort of generic introduction.

Actually though I do admit, its hard for me to actually write an email and break the ice...I think I should have made my nick XtremelyshyDom [:)].

Your wasting your breath with that one. That particular person gets off on being rude and giving bad advice. Its either a hobby or a fetish.

If you care to go back and look through a few threads you'd notice that LA's comments are almost always backed up by a lot of people agreeing with her take on the situation.

Yes, LA is a very direct person, and you may not agree with her approach, but I personally can't recall her ever being rude.

I'm fairly certian that what LA meant, by her reply, was that if those men the OP had emailed were interested in her they would have responded. They just aren't interested in her. Period.

Let's be honest here, blaming it on men not liking to receive email is really very silly, isn't it?

I am sorry they were rude to you and they do not deserve some one as nice you. I always try to be polite to some one who responds to my profile. I think we should show a little respect to each other and not be rude to each other. I enjoy being contacted but if the person is not what I am looking for I polite respond back thanking them for responding to my profile. I wish you luck in the near future in getting a pleasant response back.

Ok, but perhaps you can try to see what she was saying, anyway. I really think you're misinterpreting her words. If those men had've been interested in you, they would have responded positively. Make sense? That was all she was saying.

It's no refection on you if they aren't interested. Do you make sure you send emails only to doms who appear to be seeking someone like you? I wouldn't send an email to a dom looking for a 20-30 yr old, or an athletic sub. Or a dom who's profile seems arrogant or rude. If I did, then, I could expect those rude responses.

I'm not excusing rudeness, but, let's be honest, blaming it all on "men not liking to get email" is a bit silly, don't you think?

It's a truism that we reap what we sow. Rather than come here, and complain to people who can't help you, why not spend some time examining what you might be doing that increases the chances of this happening.

Cin, the Op said i got two kinds of responses: one, that i was looking for sex (in any form) immediately or rudeness.  The Men who thought i wanted sex predominated.  i THOUGHT i responded to quality profiles, but you are right, perhaps a more careful reading is in order.  (Wants erin's secret, lmao.)

i have -- on occassion -- initiated contact with a Dom or Master whose profile appealed to me.  Generally i am met with (1) you must be a desparate slut or (2) you are annoying Me. Don't Men like to get email?

I love getting e-mail. The only times I don't like getting e-mail is when it is obvious the body of the message reveals overwhelming evidence that the person contacting me didn't read my profile very well. Poor grammar, unsigned one-liner questions, disrespectful or otherwise inappropriate "tone" and general paranoia / stupidity is what grieves me the most.

BrutalAntipathy -> RE: Why Do Men Resent Getting Email? (5/22/2006 11:09:35 PM)

I have to agree with amayos about the poor grammar and inappropriate tone. I will usually delete those without responding, as well as the ones that are obvious online scams. Other than that, I will respond to mail, even if it is to tell them thanks, but not interested. Anything less would be impolite.
