Okay, thanks for the responses. Good to know I'm not going insane(er).

Yes, as I've mentioned after many unsuccessful log in attempts (about 4 or 5), I DID get a site error at one point... it was some database error, ASP I think? I don't do a lot of database programming so I'm not really too informed in this area unfortunately.. So maybe that little bit of info can help the mods or admins out. For YOUR REFERENCE (mods) it sent me to microsoft link here when I got the error: http://learn.iis.net/page.aspx/559/running-classic-asp-applications-on-iis-70-and-iis-75/

So yeah I figured most likely since my system is protected (I'm good with computers), I keep my accounts safe, and I tried as many rational steps as possible, it must be server side.

Hopefully they'll fix it soon, but if something crashes I recommend you users on here copy and backup your profiles (since you can search for your own profile.. then just copy and save to notepad or whatever, that's what I'm doing.).

Also as far as I know, logging on the forum still works, must be a different database.

Hopefully someone isn't fucking with the site either, collarme is a good site, I'd hate to see it crash or go down.

If anyone is still having login issues on the forums, try this:

Login to the forums by clicking "login" at the top of the page, and use your password from the personals side.

If that logs you in, click the "collarme" black logo at the top of the page, to go back to the personals side. Then click "message boards" over there to come back here. That should re-sync your password.

Number two.....the regular posters and friends or enemies who come here to chat might get a tad upset over it.....

Number three....well you could ask for a refund of your membership fees.....

Number four...this place is run by UNPAID VOLUNTEERS........

Mumber five.....have patience......which I've run out of with folks who run to this side and bitch about a technical issue...state the problem then be quiet...do not critisize unless you want to donate your expertise in offering help or solutions....there is a button for that.......the folks who run this place are usually 2 steps ahead of any issue...but it takes time......be grateful that so few give of themselves so that we the many can have this wonderful place we call our home......

Yanno, I may old and technologically challenged, but even I know, after many years of stumbling around on the internet that, if a website appears to be having problems, there's a good chance it's because they're doing site maintenance, or working on the problem. When was the last time a large, active website you frequent went down permanently with no notice???

I can't believe how many people lose their fucking MINDS because they can't log into a website.....don't you have anything else to do???

LOL, yeah they fixed it alright, fixed it so nobody else could fix it.  the passwords dont synch up and newest local users is broke again.

I am an ex-programmer, so I know the frustrations............
