Things certainly don't seem like they are going to improve anytime soon. We might have a lost decade like Japan did.

Here is the thing that cannot be stressed enough.   The banks and elite (whatever you want to call them) control everything.  People from the treasury and federal reserve swap jobs all the time.  one big happy family up there.

They [the above mentioned] did it to japn, russia and now us, china is next.

Its literally all by the numbers, but people never bother paying attention until its too late to "prevent it".

as if they could have anyway since we do in fact have leaders instead of representatives.

I had those charts for years!

They only go up to 2000, except for the dow that I took of of the first stco chart that came up.

Unless you all have been sleeping under a fucking rock all your lives this should be nothing new.

I am sure you can google for inflation and value of money and find all sorts of charts on it.

Oh and dont put up the 3% per year like the gubafia likes to stick up everyones ass, put up the cumulative like I did.

You can also see that the federal reserve that was supposed to level everything out did NO SUCH THING.   Same feast and famine only the money continues to inflate, rather than getting its value back LIKE IT USED TO.

Now what is new is a sharp minded sob like me who can connect the dots for you all.

I did google for charts but the ones i found were not the same as the ones you posted, thats why i asked. And the pic of the charts were hard to read so much of the information on them was not viewable so i was wanting to compare, now knowing more about them helps tho.

ok I downsized them trying not to kill the borders I will post them later tonite

And that all sounds very "Iluminati" and very Bildengberg Group.  And I agree with you.  People think Presidents and Kings and Queens and Czars or potentates rule the world and I don't think that could be further from the truth.

Yeah...isn't it funny how that works?  And...correct me if I'm wrong...but haven't they all been liberals?  Has there been one conservative person make their way into the ranks of government from Goldman Sachs???

mnottertail -> RE: Have no fear! US Economy: well on the way to recovery! (8/8/2011 1:21:21 PM)

They do.  We need relentless conservatism and we get nothing like it.  But, again, I am passionate in my belief that this is exactly what O'scumbag wants.  It is the first major step to socializing the U.S.; breaking the fucking back of the middle class.

What has happened today, I have been talking about since 2006.  Even before this piece of shit got elected cocksucker in chief.  Once I heard about the Statement of Principles signed by W. to create the No. American Union, I started buying guns and stockpiling food regularly.  And I was right in doing so.

It depends on how you look at it MileHigh.  You are in a great area...I LOVE Colorado!!!  Hunker down, pay off all credit cards, have zero variable rate liability and.....watch.

mnottertail -> RE: Have no fear! US Economy: well on the way to recovery! (8/8/2011 1:35:48 PM)

Why?  There was never a gun shortage and there isnt gonna be a food shortage, and maybe I will end up with a free house, which would be cute as hell.

I started getting in shape for this last republican house.

There may very well be a shortage in the money it takes to buy the food.  How much has corn gone up in the past year?  What will food prices be when it quadruples?  The $100 is the new $20.00.

The toll for the GW Bridge is going up to $14.00.  For every supply that we buy that gets trucked over that bridge (or any bridge or tunnel or any road with an increased tool or any supply brought on a truck that has had its weight charges increased, etc. etc. etc.) who will pay for that?  The individual American.  There are a thousand ways the dollar has become devalued but now the rate of speed may increase dramatically.

Oh, that.......I see.  City people are so..................inept in those areas.  Sad really, how dependent they are on society at large.

Me, I can go out and shoot it or I can grow it or........

Yeah, you wanna lay off processed foods anyhow.

Why would you want links....all one needs to know about this thread is that RO started it...and locked agrees with it.....nothing to see here at all, just move along and find a sensible thread...populated by sensible folks [:)]

cuz I want LINKS..
I am not a sheeple, I like to do my own thinking and come to my own conclusions no matter who i end up agreeing with or disagreeing with..

Well put...Don't dismiss the messenger, judge the contents of the message.

RO I would like the links too. I have been arguing the same point to someone on another site. I would like to see that in detail.

Thanks

I am willing to concede much in a very general sense as I am sure you all know by now I am not a fan of the so-called 'monetary system' and world wide.

But I do want to see the all of the dates so I can make my own judgement. But I will suggest this much. Their may be something we should all be able to point to specifically as a result of the price of gold going to $1700/oz. from $275 in 12/2000, or 600%, if we hope to see anything suffer from a further 300% rise. Oil is more important...it goes in our cars etc.

The reason we can't is because much of the inflation has been caused, is by pure speculation and while it can be just as damaging, the price of gold now means nothing to me unless I invested in it. That inflation applies all commodities including oil, currencies themselves plus I want to see how they define the fall of the dollar in real terms as currencies have no intrinsic value, only the value...against other currencies.

Well Pandaman has a great stockpile and bunker, if I can't get to him, I bet pahunky and realone, have great bunkers, guns and ammo.
Guess I need to look for the submissive with the biggest stockpile and a well built bunker!

Yes...well...and you may get your chance.  But wouldn't that bring you back to tried and true conservatism?  What you shoot or you grow is yours.  You sell it or you trade it for something of value to you.  You would likely not give it away and you certainly wouldn't let some pencil necked, government geek take it from you to give to someone else.  Is that a fairly accurate statement?

mnottertail -> RE: Have no fear! US Economy: well on the way to recovery! (8/8/2011 2:22:44 PM)

I don't know that its 'true conservatism'.

FR

Too hard to read but my guess is given the intellectual honesty of the OP dates were chosen carefully to present whatever his point is. The fact is that that the S&P 500 (a better measure than the DJIA because it is both broad based and older) has grown about 9.4% per year since 1957 (including reinvestment of dividends) to the end of 2010, and CPI has grown about 3.9%. I'll take 5.5% real growth anytime!
