Have you ever read "Under the Banner of Heaven"? Great book. Polygamy as practiced by these creeps is just pedophilia. Anyway, nice to read some good news today, but I agree. Sentence could have been stiffer

The link is a review of the book. I read it before before the community in Texas had all the women and children removed (only to be eventually returned). It was quite eye-opening and I have nothing but admiration for Carolyn Jessop.

Fr ghastly! How shocking sex with a 12 yo. Got news for ya, the age in america is between 15 and 18 and mexico 12 - 14, some puberty regardless of age. While I cant imagine such a thing, at the same time I recognize it is acceptable elsewhere. but then america is after all a penal colony

I've read this one, the one mentioned above ("Under The Banner of Heaven") and many more about these groups and polygamy in general. I actually just started a new one last night called "Secrets & Wives: The Hidden World of Mormon Polygamy" by Sanjiv Bhattacharya. I'm just a few chapters in but it's really good so far. I'm fascinated with these subjects and read everything I can get my hands on about it for sure......luci
