Bear Attacks Man on Roadside

Amazingly both survive the vicious assault

Iamsemisweet -> RE: Bear Attacks Man on Roadside (8/10/2011 10:00:00 AM)

Cute picture but Not cool. I used to go to Yellowstone park when I was a child, and people petted the bears, fed them, whatever. They became used to people, and the result was injuries to people and bears having to be relocated or killed. If people want to see wild animals, they should let them be wild.

DesFIP -> RE: Bear Attacks Man on Roadside (8/10/2011 10:00:30 AM)

He's lucky momma didn't take after him.

LillyBoPeep -> RE: Bear Attacks Man on Roadside (8/10/2011 7:46:57 PM)

i agree with "cute but not cool." to me, it looked like the bear had a collar, and some countries still have widespread use of "dancing bears" and other trick bears who live pretty miserable lives. i would hope that little bear cub isn't headed down that road.

Termyn8or -> RE: Bear Attacks Man on Roadside (8/11/2011 12:23:22 AM)

My nextdoor neighbor's dog "Pi" is ten times more vicious. Fucking R-Rusian Vomen is harboring dangerous animal there. So I go play with animal.

I Vill get video and send. This bearcub would be groundmeat for supper for zis animal. Nice and fresh.

RAT TERRIER, thats what that little bitch is. Proably bit me about twenty times in the face. I bite back and am catching up. Little bitch, one day I will taste her flesh. I already bit off a (very small) piece of her tongue.  VERY SMALL. She attacks me so hard when I go there, but if I fight her and fuck with her, then she is all friends with me. But if you saw how she was today you would kniow that she was ten times more aggresive than -------- any animal I've ever seen really. Pit bulls think they're big and shit os they think they're bad, but this bitch is about twenty pounds if that.

That is some real balls. Rat dog wants to eat me when I walk in the door. Russian Woman tries to help me but I tell her no and take care of dog myself. Dog loves me now. Not only am I tasty I guess but I provide on e hell of a workout, and with this dog, hell is a good idea

T^T

Awwww.  Come on, folks.  That was damn cute.

Thanks for sharing, G2.  That one, I really enjoyed.

Iamsemisweet -> RE: Bear Attacks Man on Roadside (8/11/2011 2:29:34 PM)

Wonder if it will still be cute when the bear weighs 400 pounds.  I think you are right, Lilly, that cub does have a collar on.  Disgusting.

LillyBoPeep -> RE: Bear Attacks Man on Roadside (8/11/2011 2:34:23 PM)

it wont be cute when he's a beaten-down adult with a ring through his nose.

Dammit Bearman what did I tell you about attacking people whose posts you disagree with? [>:]

Typically when I see a bear at that age, wearing a collar, this comes to mind.  Bear baiting and dancing is not something from the middle ages, it's going on today.

Kat713 -> RE: Bear Attacks Man on Roadside (8/11/2011 4:38:49 PM)

Aww it was quite cute~!  >_<

EXACTLY! this is very likely where the "cute little baby bear" is headed. that's why it's not cool.

Heck, I hardly have watched the telly the last 15 years, and even -I- know that tagging by conservationists is a standard item now.

Not to say that is what is transpiring here, but I'm curious as to why the Russian circus is the first thing to mind from this.

Iamsemisweet -> RE: Bear Attacks Man on Roadside (8/11/2011 6:06:58 PM)

The Russian circus wasn't the first thing to come to my mind.  I assumed it was an interaction with a wild bear.  Not much better, since bears that become used to humans often have to be euthanized.   What is cute when they way 25 lbs. is dangerous when they weigh 400.  I can't understand why people can't figure that out.

Edwynn -> RE: Bear Attacks Man on Roadside (8/11/2011 6:38:08 PM)

Bears that are not used to humans can still attack them and have to be shot too.

But I am not far apart from you in thinking that what is intended to be wild should remain that way.

Some idiot from Illinois brought his family to the NC mountains for vacation a few years back, and happened upon a yearling black bear running down a fawn deer and preparing it for dinner. This guy picked up a stick and beat the young bear off and drove it away, to 'save' the fawn. Many witnesses saw the event and reported it. The guy got a ticket from the Rangers for interfering with nature, just as they do for taking plants out of the forest, and he was incensed but everybody came down on the side of the Rangers, as they should have. That young bear could likely have starved in the next 2 weeks, hard as it is for such a youngster to catch prey. The fawn died anyway, but this idiot felt himself to be a hero and martyr, nonetheless.

Iamsemisweet -> RE: Bear Attacks Man on Roadside (8/12/2011 7:41:14 AM)

True, but bears that have lost all fear of humans are dangerous as adults, and are more likely to come into contact with people.

Hi Edwynn,

I belong to several org's that make it their business to try and stop the abuse of animals, worldwide.  Bears have long been tortured to "amuse" people.  Not just the Russian Circus...men trying to feed their family will wander the streets of the Ukraine, taking money from tourists who think it cute to see a bear dance.   Bear baiting, still goes on in several countries.  Believe it or not, here in the US too.    When I heard the accent on the men in the tape, it wasn't too far of a stretch to think of bears in the Ukraine.

Termyn8or -> RE: Bear Attacks Man on Roadside (8/12/2011 7:05:28 PM)

I wonder what bear cub meat tastes like. You could , err no I mean I could eat it with eggs or something in the morning. Spunky lil fucker HE WAS ! Lard or bacon grease ?

T^T

Edwynn -> RE: Bear Attacks Man on Roadside (8/12/2011 7:17:11 PM)

Hello  Lisa.

I am in your camp, generally speaking. I hope that was made plain in relation of the story of the clueless tourist there.

I am aware of the abuse that persists still in this venue. As I am also aware of the Alaskans who shoot home movies of bears digging into a moose right in their driveway.

I'm not to argue that bears becoming too close to humans is a good thing, but rather seeing the reality of human population intruding evermore into their territory as reality, and taking note of how clever some bears are and how calm some humans are in dealing with that situation.

But as to the point you make regarding the video in question; yes, I'm starting to see what you are pointing out.

Disappointing, to say the least.

I can't say anything specifically about cub, but bear is actually pretty good.  I got to try it for the first time last weekendIn chile, to be specific, which means I had to pick the meat out due to the other ingredients.  MP didn't care for it but I did.

As for taste, My best description would be kind of flat when compared with cow.  Both are red meat but I don't find them similar tasting at all.
