MrSprocket -> Old skirt. New gear? (8/11/2011 10:13:52 AM)

I found this old black skirt that an ex girlfriend had left here, and I was thinking about making something out of it. I'm already using part of it and the waist ties to repair some pants.

The material is light and see through to a point. It can be doubled to make it non-transparent.

Anyone have any ideas on what I could do with it?

Kilt.

Nowadays, the ladies are liking kilts, 'specially on the Doms.

Sounds alright, though I never saw a Dom in a kilt here in Wisconsin.

Anyone have any other ideas?

That way you can be a trend setter. LOL!  Seriously, guy.  That's a good thing to be.  At least *I* think so.

I agree. I'll wait for some more ideas, though I will be working on kilt schematics after I return from visiting my grandfather.

Starting at the bottom hem, cut into a strip an inch or so wide, spiraling around til you run out of fabric. Now take that long strip and start twisting it into a cord, and keep twisting it til you get to the other end, bring the ends together and find the middle, and let it twist around itself. Might take a couple of tries to get it to work out just right, but when it does you'll have a fabric rope. Of course, if the skirt is a short one, you might not have very MUCH rope, but hey...
