Quicky analysis: Mitt Romney - he rather put a gun in his mouth on the stump today and pulled the trigger with his crack, "Corporations are people, my friend." Know your audience, dude. Trust me when I say the audience was laughing at you, not with you. They don't think you're funny talking about how much money the rich guys are putting in their pocket and that you want them to keep putting it in their pocket. WRONG message. Seriously. During the debate.. very ho hum. Nothing new there. Keep saying what you 'think' people want to hear and you'll get your ass handed to you.. again. You just are clueless, dude. Michele Bachmann - not nearly as strong as during the first debate. Stick to the stump if you can't match that first fire during a debate. You're slipping fast. You say all the right things to keep the small base but all the wrong things to ever win the G.E. Rick Santorum - ___________________________________ notice how blank this part is? Nuff said. Good old Newt - we know this guy. No change there either. Scored a few points but don't fuck with the moderators dude. That's just dumb. You will continue to be asked about your record. Deal with it and quit trying to duck it. It is what it is and the pundits ain't gonna let you forget it. I liked what he had to say about the "Super committee" and I agree completely. Let the minutia wait and get on with the tough stuff that ya'll got elected to do! Tim Pawlenty - the man needs to juggle, do a card trick, fart .. do something because I can barely keep my eyes open. He can't keep me engaged and that means I'm not really interested in listening to what he has to say. He 'tries' to appear tough but it just doesn't work. It's kinda too bad because except for that "I'm the most pro-life guy in the universe" type thinking, he's pretty centrist on other issues. Herb Cain - sorry, dude.. the back peddling isn't working. Too bad. I'd have liked to have seen more but you're too afraid. If you think it, say it. If you feel it, say it. It's okay. Lose for who you are because you're not going to win for it and that's for sure. Huntsman - Honestly, I think this guy is actually running for the #2 spot. He want's to be VP, not prez. Just a gut thing. Ron Paul - Hands down, this guy blew the field away tonight. Dynamic, interesting, passionate. Gotta love a guy who is so into his beliefs and what he's saying that he spits. I loved it.. more than that, I listened when he spoke. Hmmm. Anyone, that's my quickie. Anyone else even bother to watch this thing tonight?

Romney - Came off Presidential, offered specifics, but squirmed at the Romney-Care question. Gingrich - Came off VERY knowledgeable, strong and "no nonsense" -- really liked him in this debate. Bachmann - Came off very strong, though not Presidential. Santorum - Came off somewhat strong, but complained too much. Pawlenty - Came off as trying WAY too hard to be "tough" and get noticed... didn't work. Cain - He's done. No specifics... just a bunch of platitudes. Huntsman - Typical, stiff politician... didn't feel any substance from him. Paul - He's a clown. Personally, I'm waiting to see what Rick Perry will bring to the mix.

Super committee, that's a fountain of comedy. I think John Kerry once owned half of a cookie store in Fanuel Hall in Boston. Hey, maybe they should let Al "The Whoremaster" Gore sit on that committee! He doesn't know shit from shine either! Maybe with that "Divinity" degree he could lead the opening prayer. Two dimwits who couldn't find their way out of a Walmarts if you gave them a map. I liked what Ron Paul said about "minding our own business."

What I think is I'm sick of this constant election cycle we seem to be in. That's why nothing ever gets accomplished. The debate over the Republican nominees began only a few months after Obama took office. And we are still in the summer of 2011 and the campaigning is in full swing.

I didn't see the debate. I was on the road coming home. The gist of the comments here don't surprise me though. I don't know what exactly it is about Romney, but I just don't care for the guy. He reminds me too much of what's already in Washington. Out of the rest, the only one I've heard is Cain, and I like him. Then again, it was an interview, not a debate where I heard him. Perry has the ability to overshadow them all though, if nothing else with the fact that Texas alone has carried the US in terms of job creation the last two years, accounting for about half the jobs added. That's a difficult statistic to bitch about, but I'm sure someone will find a reason to.

I wasn't terribly impressed with anyone... at least in terms of seeing anyone in the position of the PoTUS. Most had at least one good moment, but one moment does not a President make. Romney wasn't bad... the closest to appearing Presidential. But the word "slick and polished" just always pops into my mind when I see him. In my own opinion, "slick" doesn't guarantee a good President... witness our current Commander in Chief. Bachmann... I'm sorry, but she just makes my skin crawl. And I don't care how hard she worked, how hard she fought, and how many spears she was the point of. [&:] Newt. Hmmm... I have to say that I was most pleased with his performance. Smart, smart man. I loved his calling out the media, slamming the idiot "Super Congress" idea, and his closing remarks. "But I want to remind everyone that the presidential election is 15 months away. We are in a crisis now. And I would hope everybody watching us around the country would call their congressmen and their senators now and say, “Go back to Washington, repeal Dodd-Frank, repeal Sarbanes-Oxley, repeal Obamacare. This summer, start saving American families from the pain they’re in, because we have real problems, and we need real leadership now.” Pity he's a politician through and through. We don't need any more of those. [>:] Herb Cain is obviously not a politician and has a good business background. Those things should work in his favor. They don't. I like a lot of what Ron Paul had to say... when what he said was intelligible. Unfortunately that wasn't as often as he spoke. He seems like a nice guy, but his age as well as his off-the-wall positions on a lot of things really hurt his chances. The rest of the candidates just all blurred together for me. Zzzzzzzzz As a former Texas resident and being most familiar with him, I'm looking forward to seeing how Perry fares.

I thought he did a good job in admitting that he's learned things during the campaign. Someone said "Gingrich won the battle, Romney won the war". I think the first half is right, but the war is far from over. My concern with Perry is he wears his religion on his sleeve, and has the taint of being another Texas governor. He couldnt possibly run with Bachman, Romney could, although that brings back the 2008 dynamic all over again, just with someone who knows business on top of the ticket.
