It depends on how it all plays out.  Being bound can be awsome in it's various styles, or it can be boring as watching paint dry.

When I'm in Domme mode I get very satisfied when I can see that the sub is fully enjoying what I've done to them.  Duct tape is a personal favourite.

In my sub mode it depends on the scenario.  If I get bound and there is no plan for how things proceed then it can get boring but sometimes like if I'm bound and then left alone to experience my restriction it can be also interesting.  But that depends.

The first time I was truly bound I was very new two full body bondage/mumification.  I was in a rubber sleep sack.  It was cool but I think I was a little jumpy to grasp the more subtle aspects of what I could feel in that situation, so when the Dom went off to check his email and just leave me all bound up I was kind of just bored.

Now days I get more of the deeper subtleties of that feeling of being both a captive and yet feeling so uterly freed to experience that sense of restriction and being under the control of another.

A good point was brought up. SOME people think that their dom the great simply because he tied her up.

Yes you can be ONLY a bondage master and not share the rest of this lifestyle, but simply tieing up a girl is ONLY the beginning. 

ANYONE can tie up someone, and many who are tied feel the same sensations...........but an unskilled one in the art of bondage will quickly find his girl growing tired and lose interest...........better doms know that bondage is in the mind as well as the body............and great one's raise the bar to levels the girl has never experienced!!

BORING MEN MAKE BORING DOMS, however bondage can overcome even a less skilled one IF he works to keep his captive in focus.

REAL bondage is not seen with the eyes, it goes so much deeper. Like dogobediance said, anyone can be into bondage, that doesn't make them a lifestyler, if that was so, then my guy friends who use to tie me up for fun would be tops. {rofl} Or someone can ONLY be into bondage [sad thought] but then they miss all the other wonderfull things that the rest of us know about or do.

My vanilla friends can tie something or someone up, it doesn't mean much; it means more if the person doing the bondage is doing it to someone that enjoys [or not] what is going on. Heck, my guy friends use to tie me up and that sorta thing when I was a teeneager, most of them are submissives now. Go fig.

YES to tie up someone does not necessarly mean you are into bdsm........kinky sex perhaps

My vanilla friends have beenin the military, well most of them, and they can tie me up with the best of them, but it doesn't mean much to them, they always just liked how I would get this 'distant' look on my face. Once I told them it had a name they looked at me all weird, or when I asked to see their knives; hmmmmmmmmm vanillas are a weird bunch aren't they.

This is an interesting dynamic, newbies or anybody confusing bondage for lifestyle..........it is only a part
To bind one with no knowledge of what it can do to the captive one is simply often a bedroom sex game.
BUT to bind the body, mind , and soul .........NOW that is a thing of beauty (thanks you my Japanese mom for putting that in my DNA!!)........

For me bondage is very calming.  With my first dom when I drove to his place I often got there somewhat tired, a bit wired up, etc.  The most effective way he found to calm me down was having me bound on the floor in front of him using me for a footstool for about 30 minutes or so as he watched tv.

I've used this technique a few times.  Granted, there is also a rule that goes with it.

Release the rope/chains and the scene ends, that instant, totally and completely.  I use it to teach concentration and self control/awareness.  Usually, I'm not believed at first, but after a time or two of scenes ending abruptly, people tend to get a clue that I am deathly serious when I issue a rule.  Break them and there are consequences.

I definitely enjoy bondage. I love the feeling of it. It turns me on, but it also gets me into my submissive headspace. I love rope (especially a rope harness), leather cuffs, what have you. Like others here, I love to struggle and I can very well find freedom in bondage.

Mmm.. bondage. Feeling the tightness of rope pressed against your skin or the coldness of chain, bringing such tactile awareness to you. The inability to move, so that you can feel every breath you take within your bonds. Your body no longer at your own command.. your mind saying MOVE and then.. nothing because you can't .. so you come to accept that your body is bound and when it dawns on you that all you have is your mind.. that it's the only thing you have, you are free to let it go where it will.. take you away to places your body never dwells.  Bondage.. when you know that your blood is pumping faster because it needs to work harder to get through your veins which might be bent or folded in a thousand different ways. Some people, especially women, need to feel like they are either forced into something, unable to resist, or completely out of control, BEFORE they can allow themselves to truly "let go" inside and do what they really enjoy without the burden of guilt.

Bondage is a ready made device for this sort of thing.

I do feel free in bondage, but it's more just a serenity.  It's a feeling of "this is where I need to be right now and all is well with the world."  It's actually one of the worst ways to get me turned on as it calms me down so much!

I am doing more chain bondage recently.The knowledge that with each lock clicking closed the captive is feeling more and more controlled is FANTASTIC.

I know from responses that I get that when I do chains instead of rope it is a much deeper feeling of release. The COLD chains, the locks, the sound they make........wonderful!!!!!
