Good Afternoon,

I am a very unknown creative writer as I have never gone so far as to publish any of my works. I mostly write medieval fantasy at a adult level, but have recently been inspired to write erotica. Most of my writing is form my own personal gain as I love the feel of it. I hope to one day publish something, though I really do lack the confidence that my writing is any good.

I stumbled across the CM website when doing a search for BDSM communities. I was researching how a Master or Mistress interacts with a slave or another Master or Mistress. I have come to find that much of what I see or read on the web is all well and good. But talking to people who have experienced this, or even experiencing it myself would help me write about it so much more then watching a 'how to' video.

So I have three hopes:
1. To talk directly with a Master, Mistress and several slaves/subs.
2. To witness or take part in an actual session. None of the fake porn crap.
3. Have others here read some of my writing and return constructive feedback.

Please have patience with me, as all I know of this lifestyle is what I have seen in popular culture. And I understand completely that what is seen in pop culture is most of the time a lie.

Hi and welcome to CM.

First, let me suggest you check out the creative writing section. You can get an idea of how others have handled dialogue. Second, don't make the mistake of thinking there's a huge difference between writing dialogue in a BDSM scenario and writing dialogue in any other book. It still follows the same basic rules: move the story forward and be true to your characters. Think of it like writing a king, queen or other noble person speaking to a servant or to another noble person of equal rank using language appropriate to the time period. How would your characters speak to each other if they weren't kinky? Write them the same way.

I thank you both for the advice and have already begun to implement it into my current writing. I am also sifting through some of the stories section. Thanks!
