Tonight will posting I noticed my avatar changed on its own.

I am not sure why.

I am also wondering if / how I can change it back or simply us another personal picture as our avatar instead of the one that majically appeared.

If you want to have your own unique avatar you have to contact Mod 1 (I think, if not Mod 1 then it's one of the mods) and s/he will put up your avatar for you. I think it would be great if there was some way to put up our own avatars and save the Mods the work of having to do it.

You have to tally up enough posts to get the "nilla cone" to go away. I don't know what the magic number is anymore, but I think it's 25 and then you move on. Every so often there is an increment that changes your "status".
