i don't really know what to say about Termyn8or. in my previous incarnation, i "debated" with him a lot, but it seemed like he wasn't interested in anyone's opinion but his own, which, at times seems very narrow. =p
sometimes his posts read as though he thinks he's saying something alarmingly profound, and at other times, it's like "... why did you even write that?"
same could be said for me, or anyone else here.
T^T, i don't think you're as disliked as you want to believe you are. some people like to think of themselves as a lone ranger against the world; the only one who knows how the game's really scored, etc etc. but i don't think that's very accurate.

Oh I know Anaxagoras, that's one of the many reasons I find him unique and well...a character. He's cool. Much to his eternal chagrin, he's likable to a lot of us here.

You have no idea what a free world is. I'm not actually saying I do, but I have a closer notion of it than most. True though that I abused my freedom, not realizing the cost. When I was young I thought freedom was free, it is not.

But there is no place in society that is free. It simply doesn't exist and this is what was predicted in the Bible as well as a few other books, including 1984, even though I have never read it. I simply don't have to. Half this country is on pills.

Oh, and just so y'all know, if I have seemed a bit extra nuts lately it may be because I haven't had tobacco in a week now. Maybe. I don't believe the health risks of smoking, I don't buy it and I used to get my tobacco tax free, which means about ¼ of what most people pay.

I did it to be a prick. And I never quit, I just stopped. I stopped coke a couple years ago, I stopped dropping acid decades ago, I stopped, what else, oh SUGAR, that means no soda, no koolaid, no icecream. More than that in fact. Stopping cigs is NOT going to push me back into anything else.

One day I might just be a very healthy corpse.

Fucking nuts ? My gun is now under my pillow.

OK. But I meant that more in general. Really, I don't forsee us having such a problem. Sometimes I fuck up on the context, but really, no problem. Unless you have one. Stop over, I'll sic the neighbor's dog on you and hand you a beer. The killing can wait until later.

A quick and painless death would suit me fine. I'd almost pay you, but, well that's one of those things you can always do later.

I was incredibly jealous when Shore got to pay Termy a visit. Thank God I was personally able to relive that moment through his eyes and words.

I like Term and I also like Rule. Rule is a super genius that at some point is destined to Rule over all of mankind. It is written and nothing can be done to alter that fact.

I see Termy as a pivotal pawn that shall some how lend an unintentional hand that will allow Rule to ascend to the throne. Though extremely different, their paths are obviously entwined. For some reason I don't see Termy surviving to see the beginning of the new age of man.

This saddens me greatly.

How do you know you have a closer notion than most? Care to quote some surveys cogitated by the terminal? Furthermore, if you don't know what it is then how can you know your notion is closer than most?

I disagree. All freedom is relative because it is balanced with obligations to a given society in which people live. No I know you don't give a fuck about that and would kill everyone if you could but in relative terms the US is pretty free. There are objective measures of freedom, such as the international freedoms index which backs this up.

BTW why do pills make a person unfree if non-addictive? Is it the man controlling people like flourided water lol, and couldn't there be freedom pills like freedom fries?

My own sob story is that I gave up cigarettes ten years ago and its still nasty at times. The smoke turning the walls of my flats brown in a period of months made rooms feel a little more cosy but wasn't too good for getting back deposits so I decided to quit. I used to buy cigarettes in a well known place called Moore Street until they started bringing in fake branded cigarettes in the late 90's (probably from China and Africa) that were extremely toxic and disgusting to smoke. The fakes often contain arsenic, lead and even heavy metals like Cadmium. BTW ever have any acid backflashes?

Surveys ? Surely you jest. You just don't get it, even now I enjoy more freedom than most. The "law" means nothing to me here. Sure I went out of my element last year and got caught, but here I never will. The neighbors will never call on me unless they think I am in trouble, and when they do, the cops will not even set foot on my property without invitation. This is not what other people have and it did not come from a stupid attitude. It came from cultivating relationships from decades ago. This is the closest I can get. They will not come. I am safer than Randy Weaver.

But you see that is not good enough for me. Everyone should be lke that. You need a permit for a block party, it happens here when too many people show up. I have been discouraging that because I don't have all that much fridge space for the beer. What's more weed and other shit is expensive these days, so BYOB, BYO a bunch of other shit. My roomie and I invited ourselves over to a buddy's house for ribs a couple Saturdays ago. Crank up the tunes, he said he couldn't, the cops would come.

Not here. If my neighbors get annoyed with the sound they will come here and say so and I will turn down or find some other way to have them get less sound. We cooperate. Everybody is in the neighborhood watch, and when Bonnie and Clyde were here the cops almost never came despite the parade of fucking crack dealers, which I am happy to be rid of. They would not call, they did not call on Andy shooting off his gun, nor on me when I shot mine. And these were not light loads. In other neighborhoods there would be two fucking SWAT teams.

Not here. And this is nowhere near the freedom I had in the past. I threatened and coersed, I got my way. There are no living witnesses ever against me, but I was effecitve enough I never had to really do it. I convinced them. They knew who the fuck I was. You know what that is. You have seen movies. But I have seen it for real, and just not for me. This is how I was taught.

And you are probably going to say that I sound proud of it, but nothing could be further from the truth.

But that was really freedom. The law wouldn't touch me, I had money if I ever did get arrested. So what it was a hundred times, 90% of that is just gone and don't forget I lived the rest of those days as well. NOBODY went against me. Not in this fucking town.

I KNOW it was wrong, but that was real freedom. I could do just about anything. Anything at all. In a way real freedom like that is wrong, because in having that I violated the rights of other people. It was WRONG, and I know it. But that is the way it was. You want to look up my record ? I can facilitate that, or tell you, whichever. But understand, on that record only one on twenty charges appear, and out of them, only about one in alot more were ever charged.

This is where people like you and a few others have to understand that there are many things that are simply not on the record, ANYWHERE. And I don't need to fear saying so, because there is no record. I worked hard to make that happen. It's going to take me until 2013 to fix this next round of shit, but that was MY stupidity.

You work well within a small community so it may not be impossible to eventually reconcile yourself with the broader society but let me be blunt, I'm not going to hold my breath!

Your idea of freedom is fine on an island with a population of one but I think you have the wrong idea about freedom in a society. However, that is way out of reach for the topic so its an issue for another debate on another thread.

First of all the motherfuckers bring over too much. Even I can't drink that much. And health is a relative term, I have not eaten sugar in about twenty years and have not taken pills of any kind in even longer, except for now and then. I mean I don't make a habit out of it.

I think the debate would work just fine here actually. Yes, I was an island. In a way I have changed in that I found that island a bit on the lonely side. I found that my "friends" were not, that they were actually afraid of me. Surprised I revealed that ? Shit I got so much more. But really, when I started realizing that even my own family, THOSE WHO GAVE ME THE ABILITY TO DO THIS, actually feared me, it wasn't so nice. Very few people will ever understand that position.

Over the years I learned the difference between earning respect and demanding it. One is real, the other is not. A paradigm shift, yet another thing that went unreported to the media, the internet or even the cops.

That really is the way it happened over the years.

And now I am going to leave for another place and all that will be gone. And I will be just like everyone else. I think it's kinda cool.

Simple solution, just start with the imports and finish with the domestics by stuffing 'em in the freezer for half an hour! Have a policy to keep anything that is not drunk and the amount people bring will reduce in no time.

That would be really cool, but I don't want to impose. Remember the difference between being wanted, and the alternatives. If I was just bad, I could have that here. I might go back to it actually. Being nice has put me behind, but really I do not want to go back. Shit keeps up I may become that ruthless again, but if not, I really don't need it.
