ORIGINAL: FelinePersuasion Well I suppose that makes sense, I never got a GED though and when I prommise to be there I am. on the dot, 5 mins early if I can help ithow do people know that? Good reputation. I say I'll be there and I show up everytime. I take my prommises very seriously, If you have that type of self discipline, there is no reason whatsoever you could not get a GED. So you should. That's the best reply possible. If you're dependable, and hardworking, and intelligent, then prove it. Employers don't know you from Courtney Love (especially if you smell like booze and left-over sperm), so how do you expect them to trust you with a job? When a person hires you, they invest in you. Would you invest in stocks without knowing their history, or, worse, seeing a bad history? Sadly for you, the lack of a diploma or GED portrays a lack of determination and application. Period. There's no 'get-to-know-you' dinner, no 10 Questions game to find out about you. You simply get passed over as they look for someone who has shown that they can finish what they start. I don't tell you this to upset you, or make you think that I'm being hard on you, but you HAVE to see it from their point, so that you can understand what perspective employers are looking for, and so that you can become who they're looking for. If you take your promises very seriously, make the promise to yourself that you'll take and pass the GED test. That will be the most important promise you can make anyone.
