the UK didnt have musketeers, reeces , almond joy or mounds(but we did have bounty bars) and we never had hersheys chocolate..at least not when I was in my gormandising chocolate days

MARS sold in the USA until 2002 when it was discontinued by the M&M Mars company in the USA. They recenetly relaunched the MARS bar in the USA in 2010. Interestingly the UK and Canada version have a different formula.

I once intereviewed with the M&M Mars company for a job at thier plant in Cleveland Tennessee. I will never forget seeing the scrap room for M&Ms. It was a 30' X 30' X 10' tall filled with broken M&M's. Hard to imagine that much chocolate! It was an awsome site to see along with the whole plant tour. I did not get the job but I will never forget the interview :)

Thankyou hon:) its a bit clearer now, LOL Im only good with UK and Canada sweets/candies!!
The difference between them and US chocolate is quite marked.
The thought of slabs of chocolate makes me hungry.
Chocolate and latex..there has to be a major kink thing thre:)

Zagnuts... sound like some horrible disease I most definitely do not want to catch.

Fig Newton (what if Newton doesn’t want to be figged?) Okay, for those who may not know, in my neck of the woods, figging someone means sticking your finger in their ass.

Longboys (haven’t seen them in ages, do they still make them?)

Mary Janes… okay, not kinky, but I couldn’t resist mentioning them.

A few other comments:

Moonhead: The "pop" versus "soda" thing is a regional thing in the U.S. Where I live it's "pop." Nobody says soda unless they mean soda water (as in “scotch and soda”).

Concerning Mars bars: I've never noticed a discontinuation in the U.S. nor have I noticed a change in the ingredients (nougat, caramel, chocolate)... maybe it's another regional thing.

Skittles suck.
