Isn`t holding a gun to our head by THREATENING default, downgrades and more money problems to get 98% of what you want ,legislative terrorism ?

So the tea-baggers want the credit for that stunt but don`t want the blame for what happened?

These mother-fuckers caused our credit rating to fall.

What more proof does anyone need ?

There`s a dead body in the corner ,..............our AAA credit rating.

Talk about nerve. If I were there I wouldn`t be as nice and polite as the president was with that clown.

It would have been pay-back time with youtube as my network broadcaster.

Wow...it is a simple debt to equity ratio.  We got downgraded by 3 ratings companies before S & P and we stand to get downgraded by Moody's too.  It had nothing to do with Congress, the Tea Party or anything else.  TOO MUCH FUCKING DEBT.

You libs are so fucking stupid.  Obama refuses to ship 60 new F-16 jet fighters to Taiwan as China builds the largest, offensive navy in modern history and you fools to utterly incapable of connecting dots for what all of that means for the future.  You whine about Iraq and Afghanistan?  What is LOOMING is far more dramatic.

What's looming?

An invasion by China?

Conservative paranoia just cracks me up.

Tell you what, reach down into your shorts and let me know if you find anything there.

Sanity -> RE: Obama Gets Teabagged (8/17/2011 4:34:00 AM)

No, Taiwan, dummy. Theyve been pretty open about their intention to take Taiwan by force

And theyre making a lot of noise about other territory they claim, expansive amounts of oil rich waters along the coast of Korea and the Philippines etc

She comes across as the epitome of a good christian wife. I have no evidence to the contrary.

She also comes across as what the conservative movement wants in a candidate.  Again, no evidence to the contrary.

Many, many people have complained about Obama bow and scraping... about Bush doing the same... about the lack of spine of both and many other Presidents.

Yet, they are willing to elect a woman who openly admits to these traits?  If her husband decides one day that she should quit.. will she?

Its one thing to speculate about the actions and motivations of a President.  Its another thing knowing them before they are President and voting them in anyways.

I`m voting for the man who got osama bin-laden....nuff said

I didnt know the leader of the Seal Team was running.

So let me try and understand the lack of logic.

Obama is responsible for everything bad but nothing positive?

Who ordered that SEAL team in?

Your partisanship is starting to get out of control.

the only one with their lips up to the teabagger's stomach is Sanity.

The douchebag shouted something out like the fucking pigs that the teabaggers are. The sad fact is that the President even acknowledged the piece of shit.

Sanity doesn't even bother reading his own links. Doesn't ever want to be confused with the truth.

LOL. The rhetoric from China is equal to if not even more worthless than yours, the Taiwanese have executed every prohibition from China that China says will lead to invasion. And it ain't happened.

Just like when you make alot of noise, everyone knows it is ideological blowholing and doesnt mean a goddamn thing.

The Taiwan situation has been going on for decades and China hasn't made any overt moves, and considering their attempts to become a major economic power it is unlikely they will risk the international outrage.

Thats an extremely ignorant statement, even for you.

You are in a rather unjustifiable position to judge ignorance of statements having made only ignorant statements, you wouldnt have the perspective to judge it.

And the statement can hardly be ignorant if the truth bears it out, which it most certainly does....yours being only chicken little in nature.

I have no idea what relevance that has to either your comments about Bin Ladin, or my critique thereof, but that's arguable. After all, we don't see 30% unemployment, and *I* still have a job, which, given the way shit looked in September of 2008 is pretty remarkable, although yes, it's anecdotal...

Sanity -> RE: Obama Gets Teabagged (8/17/2011 7:12:50 AM)

Might as well face it farg - you just have no idea, period.

Obama Ag Secretary Vilsack: Food Stamps Are A "Stimulus"
[image]http://images.rcp.realclearpolitics.com/98433_5_.jpg[/image]

Obama's Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack: "Well, obviously, it's putting people to work. Which is why we're going to have some interesting things in the course of the forum this morning. Later this morning, we're going have a press conference with Secretary Mavis and Secretary Chu to announce something that's never happened in this country -- something that we think is exciting in terms of job growth. I should point out, when you talk about the SNAP program or the foot stamp program, you have to recognize that it's also an economic stimulus. Every dollar of SNAP benefits generates $1.84 in the economy in terms of economic activity. If people are able to buy a little more in the grocery store, someone has to stock it, package it, shelve it, process it, ship it. All of those are jobs. It's the most direct stimulus you can get in the economy during these tough times."

Well, regardless he will never be as clueless as republicans, since they dont create any jobs rather ship them overseas.

The Biden 'terrorist' story: How it came together
quote:

[image]http://images.politico.com/global/news/110801_biden_duffy_605.jpg[/image]

Biden's office has never asked for a correction or retraction on the story

Vice President Joe Biden’s comparison of tea party negotiators to terrorists during the debt-limit crisis is still causing headaches for the White House — and on the campaign trail — more than two weeks after POLITICO reported Biden’s comments from a closed-door Democratic meeting in the Capitol.

President Barack Obama on Monday stood by the vice president’s denial, and then on Wednesday morning The Washington Post’s Glenn Kessler in his Fact Checker column took a shot at POLITICO’s reporting, saying he was “dubious” that Biden actually made such remarks.

[/link] For the record, POLITICO stands by [link=http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0811/60421.html]the story and has done so since the moment it was posted on our website. Furthermore, the vice president’s office has never asked for a correction or retraction despite follow-up denials by Biden himself.

Setting aside the idea that it’s virtually impossible for one media organization to fact-check another media outlet’s reporting on what a public official said behind closed doors when there’s no known recording or transcript, we thought it would be fair to pull back the curtain on our reporting process and explain how the story came together.
...

After hearing from the first source, the two POLITICO reporters on the story, Jonathan Allen and John Bresnahan, quickly confirmed Biden’s words with three other sources who were in the same room. They also contacted a fifth source, who confirmed the basic reporting. The original tip came in at about 1 p.m. Aug. 1, and POLITICO spent the next few hours in contact with the vice president’s office, which was aware of what the story was going to say and had been given several hours to respond by the time the story posted at 4 p.m.

“We sought a response from the vice president’s office and after our interaction with Biden’s office, we were confident our story was accurate,” Allen said.

The original story was also clear about the context of Biden’s remarks, noting that he was responding to someone else. According to our reporting, Rep. Mike Doyle (D-Pa.) said “we have negotiated with terrorists,” and the story quotes Biden agreeing, saying: “They have acted like terrorists.”

To be clear, the quotes came to POLITICO from sources both in real time from the meeting and immediately after the meeting, so the comments were fresh from the sources involved.

Again, isn't this an appropriate definition of Terrorism, "acts which are intended to create fear (terror), are perpetrated for a religious, political or ideological goal, and deliberately target or disregard the safety of non-combatants (civilians)."

And isn't threatening the economic security of the United States, causing "fear for a religious, political or ideological goal and deliberately targeting civilians"?

Terrorism is as terrorism does...
