Ok I have a question. I am seeing my Dom since Feb. We are getting closer and we are enjoying our time together and taking things at a comfortable pace.........but i am faced with the birthday dilema lol (god i hope he doesnt read these forums) anyway His birthday is in June and mine July (damn i wish mine was first so i wouldnt be feeling so weirded out by this lol) anyway i need birthday gift ideas, I was thinking a bottle of cologne anyone else have any ideas for a few month relationship gift wise?

My suggestion would be to get him something that relates to something of his interest.  A book in the genre he loves, a DVD of a favorite movie, the latest CD of his favorite artist...something that is personal.  You could also pair it up with something fun, a hysterical pair of boxers or something of that sort.

I'm sure you'll select something that he will adore.

Hmm. Cologne can be a nice gift.... what kind of things does he like? Maybe tickets to a concert/play, cook him dinner and serve it to him in a french maid's outfit.... a gift card for some online music downloads.....

Its funny you mentioned the boxers, he wears funky boxers all the time, spongebob (abused for those i tell ya) ones with flames, looneytoons and such so i peaked at the size last time we were together so i did plan to do that.

A favorite toy, a lottery ticket, sexy underware. Men are so hard to buy for, I always have a problem with that.  Cologne is always safe.

I hate buying mens gifts, girls are so easy, my dad is always the last gift i buy for for Christmas

From my experience, it is always best to get the man in your life (whether you have been together for a few months or a few years) something that says that you know him and care about him.  Something impersonal is not as meaningful.  Is there anything that he really likes?  If so, get him something along those lines.

For example, I once dated an artist (painter) and for the first of his Birthdays that we shared, I purchased a few tubes of oil paints (in the colors he used most) and tied a ribbon around them.  He loved it!  Also, when My husband has a birthday, I always get him something to do with motorcycles (he is a motorcycle enthusiast).  For his last birthday I bought him new rearview mirrors for his bike and a new tank bag.

Hope this helps.

I would make him something if you are the least bit creative.  Buying stuff simply feeds the capitalist machine, but it does not really satisfy like a home made gift.  I would head off to a craft store or something for starters.  I just know it would mean a lot more to Me than some bottle of cologne or something.  [:)]

Does he collect anything? Always a good starting point.  Can give dozens of ideas if he collects weaponry, either steel or projectile...

You could also make him a little  personalized coupon book, in addition to the store bought gift

" this coupon entitles the bearer to one free :  home cooked meal of choice,  one free car wash, etc " .

Yeah, the coupon idea absolutely! Make the coupons extraordinary like "an evening of 10 pleasurable things" and then do something quite out of the ordinary for each of the 10 things. Just off the top of my head: a woman can sing, play music, dance, make or take me to dinner, give me a 30-60 minute massage, manicure, pedicure, sushi served on a nude body, etc.

Indulge him wildly. The things that money cannot ultimately buy with the quality a caring sub can provide.

Good luck!
