I wonder which part of that is lacking substance. I suppose it could be a reading comprehension thing though. In case it wasn't, same story was picked up across news agencies yesterday for those who want more "substance"

A compliment!!! Thank you for explaining. I saw it as a bit of an insult as the inferrence seemed to be that I was unreasonable the majority of the time. BTW I don't like constantly posting about Israel. If I post one or two opinions in answer to someone else I often get drawn in by others who fire x10 questions at me and I then get cast into the role of the Mark Regev of CM by those that hate the place. Thats why I haven't expressed an opinion about this particular story.

You're quite right - the US should stop arming and financing the terrorists of the IDF and withdraw recognition from the organised crime enterprise aka the Israeli Govt immediately.

This week's IDF incidents include shooting a 75 year old woman tending goats in a field, a teenager at the Gaza border, numerous arrests of children, attacks on fishermen, blowing up water wells, destroying olive trees and more .... I haven't bothered to mention the daily house demolitions, evictions, land theft, arrests, child abuse torture and other human rights violations that Israel is notorious for.

If Israel continues to steal the land of the Palestinians and destroy the possibility of a Two State solution, it can hardly complain if it doesn't receive Thank You cards from the Palestinians for its efforts.

There's nothing stopping an Israeli withdrawal to its legitimate borders except Israeli greed aggression and expansionism.

Israel's annexation of Jerusalem has been condemned as "null and void" by the UN Security Council. Israel ignores international law and UN resolutions and is engaged in a blatantly illegal attempt at stealing Palestinian land it has kept for 43 years through a brutal military occupation. This occupation has resulted in thousands of unnecessary (Israeli and Palestinian) deaths and continues to cause numerous deaths today.

Israel's internationally-recognised borders are those that were in existence up to 1967. There is absolutely nothing stopping an Israeli withdrawal to its legitmate borders except Israeli greed aggression and expansionism - a modern day lebensraum.

It matters because you need to know against which group to retaliate and from knowing which group is responsible, you can also conclude who is their patron.

In all likelihood, this has nothing to do with the Muslim Brotherhood, as they are still not in power in Egypt, which is currently ruled by a military junta pending elections. the organization Israel has claimed was behind this, based on intel, is the PRC (Popular Resistance Committees). Hezballah is known to be their main benefactor, which means it is far more likely that the attack came from Iran or Syria - both of which have an interest to turn the world's attention away from the syrian revolt thingy.

She also ignore Res. 242, that requires an end of belligerence for a return to the pre 67 borders. Current borders are recognized by the UN until that happens.
