They don't winnie. That's the key. Aggressive animals tend to be killed as civilization encroaches and they don't get to pass on their DNA. The members of the same species that shy away from human contact normally survive longer and would as such presumably have more success breeding.

If it makes you feel better, Lilly, some guy got killed by a sow bear with cubs in Yellowstone Park this year, and the powers that be decided NOT to euthanize the bear, because they concluded she was simply defending her cubs, not being aggressive. I was pretty happy about that.
