I have to say I've never been impressed with FetLife at all, it's cumbersome, not good for meeting anyone compatible and otherwise just taking up space. If others disagree with that assessment, it's cool, everyone has their opinion. But as to CM, it is to me far more entertaining and useful, despite the incredible numbers of dishonest people, who in my experience exist at all four corners of the web nowadays. It is though epidemic in proportion, and much different than say the mid 90's when I could meet both online and off people who were real and genuine with little problem. Lying has become the norm it would seem, and it's a very disappointing trend I see in all facets of our culture now. But lying in my opinion, almost always comes down to lack of self esteem, which I think is the true root of all evil in the world today. If you feel good about yourself, you have no reason to lie about who you are, and you can maturely and honestly meet, interact and negotiate what you want...

I'm actually glad that the two sites aren't just copy cats of each other. That way, I get to reap the advantages of both.

I frequent three different BDSM sites regularly: CM is my go to for these boards. The other side is good for PMing with people I want to send a comment to after reading something posted. Fet is where I stay current with my local events, munches, demos, etc. (By the way, I've had more messages from Ghana on Fet, than from CM.) However, Bondage.com is where I found my partner. I moderate the sports & relationship forums there, and wound up in a relationship with someone I'd bantered with about 5 years or so. You use the sites however it fits for you. Of course common sense helps, but not every one uses it.

Well, welcome to CM. So it's not your cup of tea because you're under the impression that most everyone is a "faker". Doesn't matter where you go on the internet today, there's lots of that going around. This site is no different. All I know is the friends I've made through the boards aren't fake, I'm not fake, and the man I met on the other side isn't either. Did it take quite awhile to find each other? Yup. Do I know yet if it's going to work out or not? Nope. Have I made my way to separate the wheat from the chaff? Damn right I have. But there's a block button, a delete button and a report scammers button. I make use of all three when I feel it's necessary. The Admins & Mods on here are real human beings who have a hella job to do since they're unpaid volunteers, do this on their own time and find their inboxes filled every damn day with every request imaginable under the sky. Ya don't like the site? Easy, ask for your refund, I'm sure it's in the mail, and don't let the door hit you on the way out. See? Easy peasy.

I myself like to have fun with the fakers my self had one strung along for weeks looking for her western union money order for her flight to get to me. amazing the info you can get from a 419 scam the scammer site LOL. I figure if im messing with them they are leaving someone who may be gullible enough to send em money

First of all, what gives you the impression that this site has mods? Have you reported someone and read the message before? You should do it again, sometime smart guy. So this site doesn't make any money, you say? All I'm saying is that there needs to be some transparency with scammers. Fight it. I live in the US, I have a right to voice my opinion whether you like it or not.

And uhhh, yeah there are Admins and Mods on this site. Try going against TOS in the most atrocious manner you can think, and see how fast your posts get pulled and you go to [Awaiting Approval] for however long they see fit. And this site is not the U.S., you have right of speech until it crosses TOS then you're toast. I'd suggest you read it, it's CM's decision to decide who get to say what. Their site, their decision, not yours to spout off at will and think you'll get away with it just because you live in the U.S. I live in Canada, I have the same freedom of speech, but I know what's acceptable here or not, and I try not to get those luverly golden tickets. [8\|] ETA: And please o please quote where I said this site didn't make money. CM wouldn't exist without it's advertisers, after all it does cost money to run a website. We get to use it free of charge because of those revenues.

LMAO I didnt think of it in that respect.. I had one, about six years ago(forum) but, dealing with the wankers and whingers got to be a full time position and who needs that, so I shut it down. I dont envy the mods in the slightest. no doubt he went to my profile to see if Im a fin domme and when he couldnt use that, he decided to go to the closest thing he could find ..what a loser.
