It's freakish how many posts are here to trash or defend other posts or posters, and not to answer the OP's actual questions. It's a miracle that any real answers can be seen through all the social static and posturing.

Without outside references to Heather's state of mind, why should anyone *know* or care?

Lord, my father-in-law died 3 days ago, and it's a deeply painful blow across my life and my children's lives as they have already lost their father. That doesn't mean I get to chuck my shit all across a forum that has nothing to DO with it. Nor does it mean that I expect anyone else to follow everything I've ever posted and make allowances for me.

THAT is life.

edited to add....He wasn't brutally murdered, he was slowly struck down with bone cancer over a year after having fought prostrate cancer.A bear of a man of 83yrs...................It's always sad, doesn't matter what brings it, it's always sad and hard for SOMEONE.

I'm really sort of flattered that my being bitchy has been deemed a big enough issue to derail the thread, but really, it shouldn't be such an issue. I explained what I found offensive and admitted I was probably being overly touchy.

Now hopefully everybody can just accept that I was having a bad night and posted in anger and just move on with the thread.

No apology neccessary. However, I gladly accept. Everyone has a shitty day, some of us just have worse days than others. Sometimes, we just need to vent. [;)]


As a side note: I did, in fact, realize not posting to s/s was an error, but could not edit the post so I was stuck lol, and then you posted, and then there were the desert wars....and it was just a mess.

At some point this has likely been mentioned, but Endivius, if at all possible try and meet some local kinky folk. At all the local groups I frequent I can usually find a good handful of folks who have expertise in something I want to know more about. Usually they are happy to share what they know, and so much of that is the kind of stuff that can't be captured in books.

Seriously, go to a munch, at least one person is going to be all about electric play.

Even more often knowledge is scattered. We have a scary home made cattle prod, one of our other friends has a violet wand, yet another has a tens, yet another has a cattle prod, someone knows someone with a taser, the list goes on and on.

Nothing within three hours of driving distance, wich will not work. I'm 15 hours at the hospital every day. Believe me, if there was a munch in the area, I'd not only attend, I would take the girls.
