This doesn't answer the question, but it's funny! My senior year of college I invited one of my fraternity brothers to my family's house for Passover. He was from Bangladesh. We warned him. I swear we did. I had seen this guy suck down jabanero peppers like they were candy. We warned him that horseradish is hot, but not in the same way a chili is. "Bwuahahaha! Silly white people! I'm from Bangladesh suckers!" Here's the thing: we were growing the horseradish in our backyard. It was very fresh and very hot. We Jews eat that stuff like, well, Indians and Bangladeshis eat chili peppers. It was so hot that I had problems with it. His face, as he tried to prove how manly he was was hilarious! He was crying just to keep from screaming. But, you know, what do white people know about spicy? Sciency bit: See peppers burns like hell on the back of your throat. Horseradish burns right up your nostrils. Completely different things. Think about it this way: a stingy rubber whip is not the same thing as a paddle. Doms and Dommes just ask your sub if you don't believe me. More sciency: It's capsaicin versus sinigrin. Funny as Hell! Because I'm from Bangladesh bitches! There must be dust in the air because I'm not crying.
