Well Hell, Sanity, I was only 10 in 1986 so I was not allowed to have a profile on CM. You were 23! Why did you not post about North and Regan in 1986? Hypocrite! [8|]

But you were old enough to post about Bush and failed to do so, as did Sanity.

I guess that I am having memory problems. What arms scandal did Mr. Bush have?

Politesub53 -> RE: Fast and Furious - US Attorney covers it up (9/4/2011 5:52:07 PM)

The ones he went to war over and couldnt find. No American lives lost there over a scandalous lie huh.

I was not aware that Mr. Bush went to war over weapons he sold/provided to another country.

That is certainly interesting. Could you provide a link to this story? My Google-fu cannot find one.

BamaD -> RE: Fast and Furious - US Attorney covers it up (9/4/2011 7:19:01 PM)

I love this defense.  Somebody else did something kind of like this so you can't say anything about me. By that logic since OJ we have to take murder off the books.

It wasnt a defense. She was highlighting the differences in the scenarios.

BamaD -> RE: Fast and Furious - US Attorney covers it up (9/4/2011 7:24:52 PM)

Wasn't talking about her but rather the people who are saying things like if you didn't post about Iran contra you should keep quiet about fast and furious.

Both somebody's "neat idea" gone horribly wrong....  Well, except Reagan did get the hostages he traded arms for.  It's the cover-up that gets them.

BamaD -> RE: Fast and Furious - US Attorney covers it up (9/4/2011 9:32:59 PM)

You do know that several congressmen tried to use the guns fast and furious as an excuse to pass more gun laws.  And Holder has used them as an excuse to change ATF regs.   Looks like that may have been the real purpose all along.

TheHeretic -> RE: Fast and Furious - US Attorney covers it up (9/4/2011 9:47:10 PM)

The problem I have with most "deeper conspiracy" type theories, including the ones I'll toss out myself once in a while for conversation's sake, is that they require me to believe the people responsible are really that clever, when the overwhelming body of evidence says that, no, they are really just that stupid.

So these people that are really "that stupid" manage to tax you till your asshole bleeds and you don't think they are very smart[8|].

Whassup -> RE: Fast and Furious - US Attorney covers it up (9/5/2011 1:41:01 PM)

check out some of the Zeitgeist videos on youtube.
there are definately questions that need to be answered and it ain`t rocket science.
so, why are we kept in the dark and miss informed or not informed at all about these
rather serious global questions?
thats all I can say
Zeitgeist, the final story
or about religion or the truth about 9/11
are all very scientific videos that puts a lot of shit in doubt!

Isn't it against the law for someone who is not part of the federal government to make contact with the leaders of a soverign nation for the purpose of forming policy?

Whassup -> RE: Fast and Furious - US Attorney covers it up (9/5/2011 1:50:00 PM)

here is the thing about those so called conspiracy theoris.
the internet and the WORLD WIDE WEB are the biggest database, man and womenkind have ever seen.
Unsencored for the most part and everybody on the planet has excess to the same information as well as contribute
to it as well. Meaning that a lot of details are put together the pieces of all these unsolved puzzles and sooner or later
guess what happens, right, THE TRUTH SHALL SET YOU FREE!
and in some cases, especially some of the upcoming ones, the truth is going to, more then hurt, anybody on the planet and beyond.

Whassup -> RE: Fast and Furious - US Attorney covers it up (9/5/2011 2:02:32 PM)

let me ask everybody about this one, if in fact, the usa owes 222 trillion to foreign countrys and from the looks of it, they dont look like capable of paying it off anytime soon, if ever, what would you do, if it was me, who owed you 222 trillion and I wont pay it back?
simple question, should be a simple answer to it, right?
whats going to happen?
who was the beneficiairy of all that money?

The President probably doesn't have much to worry about on this one.  It's the cover-up that gets them, and everybody knows Obama is perfectly happy to throw his pastor of 20 years, or even his own grandmother, under the bus to keep himself clear.  Who is Holder, against those two?

I would not bet on that sweet cheeks.

Marisela Morales, Mexico's attorney general and a longtime favorite of American law enforcement agents in Mexico, told The Times that she first learned about Fast and Furious from news reports. And to this day, she said, U.S. officials have not briefed her on the operation gone awry, nor have they apologized.

"At no time did we know or were we made aware that there might have been arms trafficking permitted," Morales, Mexico's highest-ranking law enforcement official, said in a recent interview. "In no way would we have allowed it, because it is an attack on the safety of Mexicans."

Morales said she did not want to draw conclusions before the outcome of U.S. investigations, but that deliberately letting weapons "walk" into Mexico — with the intention of tracing the guns to drug cartels — would represent a "betrayal" of a country enduring a drug war that has killed more than 40,000 people. U.S. agents lost track of hundreds of weapons under the program.

Are there legal ramifications? Perhaps. According to Title 18, 2331 of the U.S. Code, Operation Fast and Furious may amount to international terrorism, which carries with it stiff penalties for conspiracies that result in homicide. The Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act — which was originally used to prosecute the mafia — and the Arms Export Control Act (AECA) may also fit, as may assorted state and federal charges. Charges may also result from two investigations launched by Mexican authorities, and Mexico could conceivably file charges with the International Criminal Court.
