uctmfc -> Definition of ~Switch~ (9/2/2011 2:40:15 PM)
An odd question maybe but recently I received a conflicting understanding (semantics) of the word ~Switch~
1. Switch as in Role (Dominant or Submissive / Master or Salve) Or 2. Switch as in switching sexual orientation e.g. straight or gay (lesbian)
My understanding is the first; switch in the role. Since sexual orientation is defined separately.

You can't switch orientations, the closest you can get is bi/pansexual, but that only means you're always attracted to both men and women (and everything in between). I've never heard of anyone "switching" between gay and straight.

~FR~ I've heard of "switch hitter" as a phrase to mean bisexual/heteroflexible/homoflexible, rather than being strictly gay or straight. Mostly, though, I've heard "switch" as meaning you can be both Dominant and submissive.

Nor have I I switch but it does depend on the mood and sometimes the setting! If I am a tad drunk I tend to be on top so to speak
