I like him, too.

Welcome from Florida. That's in the US, so far. We as a state tend to use our collective powers of persuasion to will hurricanes elsewhere.
Occasionally we get distracted by tulips & Heineken.

OP ======> thanks for the geography lesson. Here is a math lesson for you. 1+1=2.

Mr4sg -> RE: Introductions (9/7/2011 3:29:21 PM)

@JanahX

Are you sure? Usually 1+1 = 10

dreamofthemoon -> RE: Introductions (9/7/2011 4:58:51 PM)

Nooooooooooo, wouldn't 1+1 = 11??? [;)]

GreedyTop -> RE: Introductions (9/7/2011 7:28:13 PM)

the answer is 42.

ChatteParfaitt -> RE: Introductions (9/7/2011 7:34:51 PM)

Welcome to the discussion side of CM, Mr4....and yeah I definitely vote we keep him.

I think the OP may have been reacting to the assumption that Americans are notoriously bad at geography. Other countries actually teach geography as a required class.

It could be in unairy. Which reminds me. If a guy comes home late and looks drunk, and says he had only 1 beer, his woman argues with him over his drunken appearance and he states he had 1 beer, it remains 1 beer. He just counts in unairy and takesome time to understand him that he really had 111111111 beers. And not 9. Unairy is important!

tiggerspoohbear -> RE: Introductions (9/8/2011 9:03:23 AM)

The wife allllllllllllllllllways knows you've had more than one beer. That's just a given. [:D]

In an increasingly global world, focussing education on teachings of what happens now and did in the past of just the national borders puts children at a disadvantage in understanding people from other countries and cultures. Education is important. Also for americans.

Second, in some threads people are hammering on posting the city and state of the poster in the title of the thread. Based upon the assumption that everyone knows for instance where Delaware is. In a global world, americans still expect non americans to know what all the names of the states in the usa are, or even what the local city in a state is named.

Thirdly, i knew it would spark some reactions. At least we got something to talk about.
