In an increasingly global world, focussing education on teachings of what happens now and did in the past of just the national borders puts children at a disadvantage in understanding people from other countries and cultures. Education is important. Also for americans. Second, in some threads people are hammering on posting the city and state of the poster in the title of the thread. Based upon the assumption that everyone knows for instance where Delaware is. In a global world, americans still expect non americans to know what all the names of the states in the usa are, or even what the local city in a state is named. Thirdly, i knew it would spark some reactions. At least we got something to talk about.
