Can anyone go to a movie and not order popcorn?  I try soooo hard...but in the end, I always fail. I don't know if it's subliminal, or just stimulus/response from years of movies and popcorn? I'm going to start sneaking in Pizza's...I show em!
Also, what about the Masochist in the Da Vinci Code?  If there are Masochists reading this thread, was that a turn on to you and do you take matters into your own hands when no one else is around?
Just wondering as I throw Popcorn in the Micro and watch "The Secretary" again.
Peace, Kevin

I don't like to watch movies in the theater (and often at home) without popcorn and a Coke (which is one of the few times I actually drink pop).  I think it's because I never had the money for a movie and snacks as a teenager.  And as a kid my Granny would always sneak candy bars into the theater in her enormous purse, so we didn't get things from the concession stand.  (I still do that.  Old habits die hard.  Chocolate tastes better when you're breaking rules to eat it.)

As for Silas in the DaVinci Code, that definitely wasn't a turn-on for me.  His masochism was out of extreme guilt and religion, which doesn't exactly do it for me.

Popcorn...don't care for it.  I have to floss immediately after eating it, and I mean immediately as in I will miss 15 minutes of the movie to go in the bathroom and floss.  I usually buy a pop and sometimes will get some chocolate, but I have a favorite licorice which is only found in certain stores so I will stick some of that in my purse and bring it in.

The Da Vinci Code: What a great movie adaptation.  It's so rare to find a movie that's as close to the book as this one was.  I didn't notice that there was anything added or altered for dramatic effect.

Went to see this movie last night and no...I didn't buy popcorn. Silas' character didn't do much for me either. I don't think it made him out to be masochistic, at least he didn't seem to be enjoying the pain. I thought it portrayed his acts more in the context of atonement.

I'm infamous for sneaking beer in.
And gummi bears are my choice for snacks.

I sneek in chili cheese fries, chili dogs and soda. All this 'Da Vinci Code' talk makes me wanna read the book and see the movie. Of course, earlier I was watching 'Titanic' and eatting popcorn so it must be those subliminal messages they put in movies.

Pizza is easy to sneek in, especially into a drive-in for those that know about those or have been to them. Women with big purses or small backpack-purses and pizza wrapped in foil. Works every time.

'Secretary' is best watched while in bed with someone, thats how I saw it, cuddled up with my bestfriend watching it on the floor while her (ex)boyfriend watched us instead of the movie. Makes ya think. Hmmmmmm

[:@] OMG...alcohol and bears, do not mix!
Bare your soul, Bare your Fetishes...but do not give Bears, Beer, Aileen.
Whew, glad I never took you to the movies.......naw, wish I did actually...as kevin pokes a hole in the bottom of the popcorn cup and says..."grab a hand full!"[:D]

slaverosebeauty -> RE: Da Vinci and Popcorn (5/21/2006 3:07:20 PM)

Gummi worms and wine. I can't ever get that stuff straight. Is it red wine and worms or white wine and worms? Beer and bears sounds good together so that works too. Licorice and liquor.

Littlepita -> RE: Da Vinci and Popcorn (5/21/2006 5:21:54 PM)

I don't eat popcorn anymore. Wayyyyy to many carbs for my diet. I haven't seen the movie. Should I?
