lookin4MDS -> Question (9/6/2011 5:25:52 PM)

is sending someone 2 mail that can not be considered harassment?

only a question now nothing more to see what people think!

Arpig -> RE: Question (9/6/2011 5:52:16 PM)

When you signed up you agreed to the following:
7.3.7.      You will not "stalk" or otherwise harass any person, and if any member or other person requests that You cease communications with them, at any time, for any reason, You will immediately comply with said request.

Hisprettybaby -> RE: Question (9/6/2011 6:04:57 PM)

Did the recipient of the aforementioned mail ask you to stop?

lookin4MDS -> RE: Question (9/6/2011 6:36:20 PM)

i had someone do that to me  kept mailing me over and over and making new profiles  after i block 1 and i had ask nicely to leave me along too! and i report all of this person's user id's and all i get  from cm well we  don't know who's harassing you! and i am the one that get's bitched at by cm for so called making more work for them! when this person  would send 10 or so mail from acct of same thing!

angelikaJ -> RE: Question (9/6/2011 6:42:14 PM)

If the person sent you back a "No thanks, not interested" response to your first email and you contacted them a second time... then yes, that is harassing behavior.

Missokyst -> RE: Question (9/6/2011 7:26:15 PM)

Have you considered not answering and not opening the mail?

myotherself -> RE: Question (9/6/2011 10:53:45 PM)

What Missokyst said.

I had some fuckwit do something similar, so I used the 'hover' facility to read the mail without opening it first.

Then report, block, delete, move on.

After a while they get bored with no response, and go stalk someone else.

StrongSpirit -> RE: Question (9/7/2011 4:01:46 PM)

They don't always get bored and stop. See David Mabus (link to story)

And of course if you don't reply to a polite first email, and simply hope they stop, then they are not the stalker, you are simply a rude shmuck. Clearly your cowardly attempt to hide and hope they leave you alone did not work. Perhaps try communicating?

Missokyst -> RE: Question (9/7/2011 4:41:14 PM)

I find it rude to strong arm a response from a STRANGER. No one is obligated to reply to an email, nor are we obligated to open one. I don't open half the mail that arrives at my house because it is basically spam. Unwanted, unasked for, unpleasant. Would I feel compelled to open one because if I did not that sender might go ballistic and vengeful for my rudeness? No. I don't deal with assholes.

lookin4MDS -> RE: Question (9/7/2011 5:51:39 PM)

I can see not answering a first email if it is a rude one but if it is a polite first email then ya answer it even if your not interested it's the right and polite thing to do and it is also common sense thing to and not be rude to the one that sent  the email in the first place!  why do you think there is a button just for that reason! people need to be polite and use it if there not interested! but by not answering back is wrong it's down right just rude! they need to use common sense and be polite and answer back using that button! or don't be surprised if they get removed because there reported as a  fake!  i for one don't like to sit and waste my time trying to get to know someone and have them not bother to even answer back!  if that's all they can do is read  or delete unread then they sure as heck do not need to be on this site! there are  enuff  fakes on here as it is! and i have come to the point i can tell if someone is a fake just by looking at there profile! then there are the one's that seem to not be but yet they read and never bother to answer back which is rude! i am sure i am not the only one that don't like to waste there time to have people not answer back when the first email is polite  and trying to get to know someone. why bother coming on here if that all your going to do is be rude to others!

How do you get to know someone if you haven't talked with them yet?

I respond to about 1% of emails.
I used to respond to them all, hoping to make some friends- but when someone is cmailing me speaking of friendship, every time they have ended up hitting on me. If I respond in the negative interest way, most times they get mad. So unless someone looks like what I want, or is someone I have spoken with on the forums, or I am just bored and want to talk to someone, I don't answer jack.
I don't feel I need to.

I bet you can't.

lookin4MDS -> RE: Question (9/7/2011 7:09:10 PM)

no bet about it i can  tell if someone is or is not a fake! i am not stupid. just because you might not be able to don't mean i can't spot a fake by looking at there profile!

lookin4MDS -> RE: Question (9/7/2011 7:11:06 PM)

then i would not be surprised one bit if your profile ends up being removed!  because if you see fit to be rude to people it will happen.

It was a joke. Check out Arswine's profile and you'll get it.

For not replying to emails?? [sm=rofl.gif][sm=rofl.gif]

Look, I'm an owned lesbian slave, just how many damned emails from male subs wanting to serve me or male Doms wanting to convert me, or Dommes wanting to steal me am I expected to reply to? I used to reply to each politely, explaining why I was not interested, and usually my refusal was simply ignored and further demands/offers were received, or I was subjected to a tirade on how rude it is of me to refuse to comply with their fantasy. Now I generally just hover and if it's unwanted I delete it. You have no concept of how many emails women who are actively looking get on this site.

Missokyst -> RE: Question (9/7/2011 7:45:44 PM)

Don't you think not answering sends the same message that they are not interested? The problem with answering someone when you are not interested is that you open the door for them to continue. Why is that necessary? If someone is not interested, just as I am not interested in opening the spam mail that arrives at my door, why is that rude? I have no interest. I do not open. Unless is someone is unbalanced the message should be clear, "no reply, no interest".

tiggerspoohbear -> RE: Question (9/7/2011 9:22:55 PM)

OMFG lookin4MDS, grow up.  No one has to answer messages they receive.  It's not your Gawd given right to receive an answer for every c-mail you send out.  I for one would not reply since your profile is hidden.  I also don't reply to c-mails where the profile is nothing but kink or doesn't match what I'm looking for.  If they persist, then I report them as spam.  That's what the button is there for.

I don't like being harassed by telemarketers on the phone, hence I now only have a cell phone, no landline.  I don't open junk mail because I don't want to buy unwanted items.  I don't open junk mail on my personal e-mail because I'm not interested in viagra.  I'm a female, don't think it's going to help me much.  I don't want time shares, credit cards, offers from universities in Phoenix, and the list goes on.

I can hover over a message and decide if I want to answer or not.  That's my right to do so.  It's not rude, it's because I get enough messages that have nothing but one word "hello" or "hi".  Can they honestly not think of something else to say?  Or they're the ones being rude and making assumptions that I'm already theirs.  Uhhh, NO.

'Nuff said.

Well, tell me then. Look at my profile. Am I fake or not?

*doesn't, not 'don't'
*their, not 'there'

So, yes, I'd say your first statement in blue is definitely...ummm...not true.
