But females have STDs just like males, candy, and play doesn't have to have anything to do with the swapping of body fluids. Don't misunderstand, if you don't want a third in your relationship, that's okay, I'm not trying to "convert" you lol.

That is SO not what this is about, Candy. I could care less about sex in the context of this thread (in fact, it's not something I'd do).

To steal Archer's line, I'm an equal opportunity masochist!

I get the feeling that a lot of the people who have responded to this post have boundaries with who they would play with based on sexual reasons. I have deep respect for that, and wouldn't ever push myself on someone like that. But the fact of the matter is it's not like that for me, pain play is pain play, and it doesn't have to include sex in any way. I think the moral for me from this post is as long as things are carefully negotiated ahead of time, everyone can get what they want.

Endorphins are a magical thing. It's better than morphine. And I mean it. :)

I don't know if "playing" is quite the right word. It's more like target practice to me. I consider myself heterosexual and mostly a bottom. While I am not attracted to men sexually speaking, I've found when bottoming that it really doesn't matter what the person on the other end of the whip has between his legs. I do, however, enjoy topping and have been doing more of it of late. When topping a woman, I must say there is a connection there for me, a joy in her subspace, that's simply not there with a man. Topping a man is, as I said, more like target, or technique practice. There are very few subs locally who enjoy being whipped with a singletail. In fact, I can only name two and one of them is me. I made my last post before reading this one from you. For the large part of me that is a pure, unadulterated pain pig, you took the words right out of my mouth. When it comes to pain play the sex of the Inflictor is irrelevant. Although if the pain play DOES involve sex, then I greatly prefer a woman on top.

At what point does play stop being play and become sex, would you consider CBT a sexual act? I look on all forms of BDSM play as being about sex, I see me engaging in BDSM play as me expressing my sexuality so I would only ever engage in BDSM play with people I am sexually interested in.

I would consider using someone I am not sexually interested in though only in a totally none sexual way, by using them as a general servant or something like that though I am not sure how comfortable I would be thinking about how sexually stimulated they are by being used in such a way.

I would enjoy the painplay aspect of it, although would be uninterested sexually. It would have to be a guy I 'clicked' with in just the right way though, and so far that hasn't happened (not that I am remotely looking).

I'm more into the D/s side of things and just BDSM play doesn't interest me enough to arrange such privatly, but if out at a club, in the mood to play, then it doesn't much matter what gender the backside on the reciving end of a dragon.
