Status: offline 		Unless I'm mistaken, there used to be a time that when a person first opened an account, the pics that they posted to their profile were reviewed before being approved to post.  Something of a major undertaking as the site grew and something that it wasn't possible to keep up with.  Now, pics can just be added and unless there is a complaint, they don't get looked at by the Mods and/or supporting help.

There have been a number of threads that full frontal nudity as a primary pic really isn't allowed.  What they have asked is that the other members here report a pic if it violates that.  Secondary pics don't seem to cause as much of a fuss, since a person has to go looking for those shots.  You can report any pic that is sent to you via email, if you feel it is vulgar.

Um, excuse the very hell out of me, but CM did not take over your computer and force you to access its features. YOU chose to do that yourself.

I only click on profiles when I receive a message or I want to check a profile after someone makes a post. Which means *I* decided to click on the profile. In my mind, once I make that decision, I get what I get. Fortunately, CM has this handy dandy little feature called "block."

If a pic offends you, you don' t have to pluck your eyes out, you can just hit block. Same with the discussion boards. If a person's posts annoy you, you are free to hide (or unhide) them at will.

I normally do not respond to these types of rants, but your post's self righteous preachiness really did hit me the wrong way. Some might say it actually vexed me.

But see, I know what to do. Did I mention the cute lil hide button?????

If you even bothered looking at the section where you post your profile there's a notice that says:


Please do not post explicit primary photosIf people choose to ignore this, then they run the chance of having their photos reported.  Enough reports, the photo gets pulled.  If you choose not to do this, then you let it happen.  With the increase in membership, the Admins and Mods no longer have time to monitor that.  Remember, they're all volunteers and aren't paid for the hard work they do for this site.  If I come across such a photo, you can bet I report it.  But I also don't preach to the site or the members of what I think is wrong.  I joined the site knowing full well that not everyone would follow TOS.  I'm an adult, it's called report, block or hide the offending profile.  You can do the same.  Your use of capitals is over-the-top and quite unnecessary.   Act like the grown-up you're supposed to be, step off the pulpit and learn to deal.

Status: offline 		To the OP- I will repeat what some of the other posters have said might or might not be true, and go from there:

Primary penis pictures are not allowed, as far as pictures 2-14;if you CHOOSE to look at a members pictures, you are choosing to look at what they have decided to put up on their profile, clothed or unclothed. There are still community standards that are above and beyond genitals or not, but that is another subject other than here, and I do not plan on going through the list.

Moderators do NOT review pictures or perform any functions other than moderate whatever area they are moderators in, i.e forums, video chat, etc.

When a photo is reported, it is not an automatic review process, so is not dependent on number of reports etc like with some other type of reports. Each reported photo IS manually reviewed. Saying that, there are a lot of pictures that are reported that at first appearance appears to be possible spite. We do truly appreciate the users reporting anything they truly think violates TOS, we also can tell if a user is just clicking report to be doing so.

In the past, it is true, that each users photos had to be manually reviewed before being displayed on the site, for numerous reasons, and the guidelines were much more vigorous. The guidelines are not necessarily because of the views of the owners, but also depends in part on the sociopolitical climate and policies and laws, which change over time, and guidelines are adjusted in response whichever direction the adjustment is deemed necessary. It got to the point there were hundreds, then thousands, of pictures submitted DAILY. Because of the political climate at present, guidelines were changed, and it became possible to put up the pictures at will by users, and the capability was added so that users could report violations when they saw the. We pull the ones we see also. The site is staffed by volunteers(of which I am also, to those that say I am paid,they are wrong) and those volunteers are overseen by me. There is not a huge plethora of people, even on a site with over a MILLION users, that are truly willing to give up their time consistently and long-term, and also perform whatever function they do according to the site guidelines, and not let their personal views ,which may not always agree with site guidelines, intervene. (That's human nature to do so, and I am extremely grateful to the ones that can).

If I come into correspondence with people that have such pictures as their primaries, I will always let them know that they may want to change it, as to not be in violation of that rule. But frankly, I doubt I would report such a thing, as, hey... it's the internet and I'm 35 years old. I'm a big boy now, and if I see something on here that I've never seen before, then that person should REALLY get themselves to a doctor in a BIG hurry.

Looking at someones junk has never hurt me before... well... there was this one time I was staring a bit long and they guys boyfriend punched me in the arm... that wasn't pleasant, but otherwise, meh... It's just genitals. Almost everyone has them, probably over 6billion sets on the planet, and I really don't see what the big deal is about them. Of course, there are some I'd much rather not look at, and HEY, guess what! I have a mouse right here that can refresh the page so someone else's picture is there. OR (and get this... it's pretty fucking awesome) I can CLOSE THE PAGE! I know, right? It's a miracle of modern science!

Loosely translated, OP... shut the fuck up and go back to your McCarthy-esque censorship board. The rest of us (or, at least the majority of us here, I won't name names to the contrary) are grown ups and can handle seeing somebody else's hoo-haw without having a heart attack.

I read the whole thing, there goes 20 minutes of my life.  Caps all over the place, different colors, I guess I'm a fake because I "dared" look at her profile.  I started to read the journal entries and got about 2 lines into the first one before I gave up.  My eyesight was blurry by this time.  Ooooh boy, they're not asking for much are they???
