I would be interested to know what your feelings are when you are away on a trip without your Dom. Do you try to enjoy yourself? Do you feel like you're abandoning your Dom/me?

I never did nor have traveled without mine. My current owners get worried if they cannot find me in the house.

I've spent four nghts away from Master since we met. One night was a business thing, I stayed at a friends and spent nearly the whole night on the phone to him hehe. The other 3 nights was when I was in hospital, I missed him so badly, he brought in a pillow with one of his shirts as a pillowcase which was sooo thoughtful and wonderful of him. I didnt feel like I was abandoning him but I was very very distressed.

Because of an illness in my family, I was away for half of December '04 and most of January '05. Besides being worried about my grandson in the hospital, I was miserable not being around to take care of Himself to boot. I go back to CA a couple of times a year to visit family and after about two days, I start counting the hours until I get to come home. Since I usually go for about 10 days, that's a lot of counting although I love being around the kids and grandkids being around Himself is my favorite place to be. Of course, we're still newlyweds.. only been 10 years. Maybe when we've been together longer, it'll be different. [8D] Celeste

Twice I have had to go back to New Zealand for 2 weeks each time. One trip was to see my dad in hospital and the second, 2 months later, was to his funeral [&o] I took the time to visit with my children and friends while I was there, much as I missed Master He insisted as I was paying all that money in airfares that I make the trips worthwhile. He is unable to travel for health reasons and He was very disappointed not to be able to be there for me at my father's funeral. Although both trips were for rather sad reasons I did have a good time seeing family and friends, though of course I missed Him terribly and was worried about Him taking care of Himself. He does need someone to keep an eye on Him much as He hates to admit it [:)] Did I feel like I was abandoning Him? On some levels yes but I also had orders to enjoy myself while I was away so did my best to obey [;)] His friends were keeping an eye out as they knew I was away, so that was a weight off my shoulders. All was well in the end, and the welcome home was wonderful [;)][:D]

Depends on the trip I suppose. If it's a trip for pleasure, why wouldn't I try and enjoy myself? Wouldn't my partners want that for me? If it's a business or sad news trip, then obviously I wouldn't be going for that purpose.

It fells like you read my mind i was going to post something like this. Right now as i type this i am in a hotel room in "Sin City"AKA Las Vegas and my Master is home in NY. I miss him like crazy but talking to him on the phone helps a little. I am going to try and enjoy myself because Master told me to have fun. I cant wait until i am home and with him again 9 days is way too long to be away from him. Matt's littleone

the trip was a pleasure one and of course He wanted me to have fun, He wants me to be happy and to enjoy good times with my vanilla friends [:)]

I've been back to AZ twice without Master. The first time was to pick up my son, and we took Amtrak back home. The 3-day trip was fabulous, and we had an awesome time. Since I'm used to Master being gone all the time anyway, it's not really a big deal for me to go away for a few days without Him, because when I do go, He's on the road. However, the last time I went back home was for my sister's wedding in January. Even though I was surrounded by family and friends I'd not seen in a couple years, I found myself not having nearly as much fun as I would have had He been there. I suppose what I'm saying here is that, while I can usually enjoy myself without Him, there are just some things that are better when shared with Him.
