If you're going to claim that Bachmann's comment was acceptable because the Kenyan once used a metaphor that could be interpreted as a threat, won't that cause a few problems with your tone of wounded holier than thou the next time you start whining like a schoolgirl about something the Kenyan says?

This level of violent rhetoric has been around since the ratification of our constitution. I say, so what, big deal, whoop-dee-doo. The only issue I have is the hypocrisy of the left complaining about it and then ingoing their own use of the same type of rhetoric and bitchin about it when they're called on it by the right.

It seems to me he was pointing out hypocrisy since his post followed a lefties post bitchin about violent rhetoric on the right.

I worked on Obama's '08 campaign I know most everything he had said.

Michele Bachmann is an idiot. If she makes it as the Republican candidate for US president, which I highly doubt, then I hope the voters wake up enough to realize she is not the one to lead the USA.

Just an FYI folks, the Boston Herald is akin to a tabloid in journalistic quality. It is read mostly by the uneducated in the greater Boston, MA region (verse say, the Boston Globe which is read by more educated folks). There have been many very sensationalized stories that are weak on facts and heavily on half-truths (uneducated folks dont verify information to often). Is that correct with regards to this story and thread? Judging by the number of posters, I would have to say the article did exactly what it was indended to acomplish: shock the reader to burst out a reply based on deep emotional 'gut' viewpoint rather than to ponder the source of the information. While my dislike for Rep. Bachmann is known on these forums, even I'm weary to trust the Boston Hearld on ANYTHING unless the information can be independently verified from other sources.

I formed my opinion of Michele Bachmann from an interview she did on Hardball, as well as seeing her in various news stories on t.v., so my view was shaped long before seeing this article.
