ORIGINAL: Masterdewolf Well i think its a couple of things , but yes the parents can be held accountable but so can peer pressure , and the PC brigade can have a share of the blame, since teacher have no real control in the class rooms anymore !! And parents are not allowed to discipline there own children !! I disagree on the peer pressure. If a child is brought up to trust their own instincts, they will not fall victim to the excuse of peer pressure. As for teachers, it's not their responsibility to raise our children, nor is it their responsibility to teach them proper manners. That is the sole responsibility of the parents. As for discipline. That is another topic all together. One that has no bearing on whether or not a child learns good manners. Manners are learned through observance. Not through discipline.
