Allen West To Michele Bachmann: Everglades Drilling 'Absolutely Off Limits' Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann recently said she would consider drilling for oil and natural gas in the Everglades. It seems, however, that some Floridians aren't on board with the conservative congresswoman's stance on the issue. Among those who have taken issue with Bachmann's position is Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.). The Broward Palm Beach New Times reports that a letter was sent from West to Bachmann on Tuesday in which the Florida Republican puts his foot down with Bachmann on the matter. "I believe safe and responsible offshore drilling is an important part of a comprehensive energy plan, however, drilling in the Everglades should be absolutely off limits," West wrote. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/09/15/allen-west-michele-bachmann_n_962859.html Well,job killer Allen West will have a lot of explaining to do.[:D]

One needn't concern themselves, since the great invertebrates like sanity are too busy tonguing rushes ass to concentrate enough calcium to better their phylum.

As far as I can tell no one says the geology under the Everglades is right for petroleum.
