This board get this kind of question a lot, and the answer so depends on what YOU like and what YOU want. And this is most especially true of the sexual side of things. I might love fucking a male sub in the ass, you may have zero desire to go there.
Take some time to review your sexual fantasies, especially those that have you taking a strongly dominant role, with a view of determining what YOU would like to act out.
Have your sub write out a few of his favorite sexual fantasies as well, not to provide you with a script but to see where your fantasies overlap and what his deepest desires are. Verbally tease him with the possibility of creating some of those fantasies. (Anticipation is everything,)
Get a BDSM checklist and go over with him, paying careful attention to how he reacts to various kinks. Does he get a little flustered at the idea of ball stretching or nipple piercing or wax play? This will not only help the two of your establish some initial limits, it opens up communication on some topics you may not have explored together, such as figging, or chastity devices, or bastinado. Plus, it's just fun.
