I've been screwing around with my really old stuff. On one of the drives I have copies of the old DOS 6.22 floppy disks. On one of them is the program QBASIC. I'm not sure but it was either Win 95 or 98 when it wouldn't run anymore. But now since I have too much time on my hands I just found out that it will run in XP !
That is fucking tripped out. Now I used to have this program called Johnny Vegas' Poker. It would only run on up to a 386. Try to run it on a 486 it would come up with a divide by zero error. I wonder if they fianlly got that fixed.
Damn, I got this old pinball game too, I am starting to wonder what else might run.
Dammit, non of these PCs have a floppy drive. There are problably still some disks around here I haven't thrown out.
Unfortunately though I lost the EXE for Xtree Gold. But then I really don't think it would even begin to work on NTFS.
I wonder how much older software there is out there that will still run.
