http://www.collarchat.com/m_3756744/mpage_1/tm.htm a 9% VAT is something most here do not want. The link is a thread poll on it- a good 11 pages long. 9 9 9 is Cains idea of an economy. One of the 9s being a VAT- which is a federal sales tax of 9%. (most states already have a sales tax)

Meaningless poll, since it doesnt distinguish between alternative implementations (VAT only, VAT on top of what we have now, VAT plus a lower income tax etc.) , and doesnt clarify what happens to spending. (Eg someone could have voted "Hell no, not until they get spending under control")

Hey ... why not PROVE it is wiggle proof for the industrial sector first by applying it strictly to corporations in place of the corporate welfare entitlement they get today? If Industry suddenly ends up paying even SOME taxes, expand it to the general population. BTW I agree with WillBe... the poll is meaningless.
