things taken out of original context can be both entertaining and surprisingly illuminating sometimes......in another thread i came across this line.....
"My post was aimed not at the sausage..."
i have to say that, despite the fairly serious context, i  laughed like a drain.....

If you've ever been to an Italian bridal shower (yup...just shoot me now) then you know that there's always a  Italian lady (the kind with that reddish, purple hair) sitting with a pad and pen writing down snippets of conversations that she hears throughout the room.  After the gifts are opened she then takes center stage and proceeds to read down the list of comments that she's recorded which all, inevitabley have a sexual overtone.
Hahaha.  All ladies are so amused.  The highlight of the afternoon along with the candy coated almonds.  :)
Just a stroll down memory lane.  Or is it more like running through a nightmare.  lol
This thread reminded me of that and made me smile.  Thanks.

Would be happy to attend a wedding so long as the bride is not a bridezella, lmao.

LOL.  I'm playing that game at my sister's bridal shower next week.  It so weird that my baby sister is getting married.

This was a surprise to find, as the 'non-sausage' post was mine.  Actually, it is much funnier out of context, though as I typed it, I thought ... I can't believe I am actually having to say this to make a point.  Glad it made you laugh anyway, life is often not full of enough laughter.

Mine was Aunt Marie, too! ::laughs:: My daughter gets married on July 7th next year.. and I'm sure Aunt Marie, (whose hair is actually closer to blue than red/purple) will once again take down the snippets and make the paper plate bouquet to boot. lol

Ciao!

Celeste

Oh dear God...I've blocked that awful bouquet and the silly hat they make you wear out of my head.
You've just reminded me.
And to the OP...sorry I hijacked your thread.

My Mom actually made me use the paper-plate/bow bouquet for the rehearsal.  I didn't think she'd actually follow through.  LOL.  If I have to do it, my sister has to do it.  Misery loves company.

Celeste, congratulations on you daughter's engagement!  It's an exciting, happy, nerve-wracking time.

hehe.. Thanks Naked.. I am discovering it's an excellent way to get rid of all that pesky disposal income we just had sitting around doing nothing but collect interest. lol
