So, I'm trying to figure out how to make my own chat room here on CM... I want to be able to get the CM population that identifies as Furry/Therian/Otherkin/Puppy/Kitty/Pony/Whatever together to talk about their experiences and such.. Could anybody point me in the direction as to how to open my own chat room?

Please go through the link on the site for that says chatrooms and join the channel #IRCops and one of the Ops will be glad to assist you with what you need to do to register YOUR nick and how to set up and register permanently a channel. You might want to download an irc client such as MIRC, PIRCH or ICE before you attempt to set up the room and look around. Clients have much easier methods of entering some of the commands as an op you might decide you want, rather than just general chatter commands like most users and the site buttons etc are sufficient for. My personal that I use in the chats is mirc and can be downloaded for free at www.mirc.com. To me( and Im not a techie) that is the easiest one to use. Good luck and great idea! I think you have found a group that I know for a fact does not have any users at present that own a room for this subject!

Edit: If there are no Ops that are actively in the room at the moment, when you get in there and state your question etc. please follow instructions so one of them will get backi in contact with you!
