ControlImYours -> Is it just me?... (9/27/2011 3:25:28 PM)

...having been to few nights, and having helped a friend organise fetish nights a few years ago. it seemed then, as it seems now that there were more male dominants and female subs than there are/were female dominants and male subs at these events.

Is it just because I am a male sub and I notice it? Is it a gender thing? Do male dominants show up more, or are they just more visible at nights?

Also do more single male dominants go to nights/events than single female dominants?

lol maybe I just don't get out enough [8|]

Some groups have more M/f and others have more F/m. Try a different group and see if they have a different mix.

It's the reflective gear we wear, and we are more shiney.

DarkSteven -> RE: Is it just me?... (9/27/2011 8:02:08 PM)

I've noticed more male Doms and female subs, but the females were less hardwired and more flexible.  I've seen them play nonsexually with other women and to be more flexible and more prone to occasionally switching.

My experience.  YMMV.

HeatherMcLeather -> RE: Is it just me?... (9/27/2011 8:31:32 PM)

I was under the impression that there simply are more male doms than female, and more female subs than male, but I might be completely wrong.

Hisprettybaby -> RE: Is it just me?... (9/27/2011 8:34:31 PM)

In our local group, it seems at first glance like there are more M/f couples than F/m, but I think there are a lot more female switches than male.

There certainly seems to be, doesn't there? I wonder why that might be.

littlewonder -> RE: Is it just me?... (9/27/2011 10:11:46 PM)

in PA where I last lived there were definitely more malesubs and femdommes than anything else. Here in Baltimore I have no idea since I don't frequent any groups or clubs here.

I'd say it's just dependent on where you live.

MissImmortalPain -> RE: Is it just me?... (9/27/2011 10:52:07 PM)

Doms glowin the dark. Dommes only glow under blacklights. Didn't you know that.

Really it does depend on where you are. There are more Domme/tranny couples around here than anything else. Or maybe that is just what I have noticed.

If a search for "submissive" or "dominant" in Craigslist is of statistical value ...
- There are vastly more male dominants than there are female dominants
- There are vastly more male subs than there are female subs

That fact goes forward no matter what the fetish keyword, e.g., "bdsm", "bondage", "cock", "pussy", etc.

There are more males 'out there' than females, at, oh, a 100:1 or higher ratio. Period.

yea but using craiglist as a base for your survey? That's a terrible medium to use. Most respectable women would be too dignified to use craigslist for finding a partner. Lots of guys on the other hand, are so focused on what they want they fail to realize how scummy using craigslist to find a partner is

I would wonder if it has to do with mental flexibility.
Women are taught fairly early on that we are expected to gracefully aquiese to others - regardless of how we feel. We have to be able to meet our needs with more ...... roundabout methods, therefore more likely to consider alternatives to play.

.... and if you are a woman and never give in, then more power to you - here I'm talking about the silent majority.

OK - for the ignorant among us (me), why is Craigslist scummy?

You'll have to ask the scummy people who post ads there [:D]

I tried to sell a necklace there, and then a table, brand-new, not even out of the box. All I attracted were scammers. (Scummers?) [:D]

Seriously, even for the table. My first response was a clusterfuck of reasons to justify me cashing the "voucher" they were going to send me and letting someone else pick up the table as soon as it arrived in the mail. They were moving to the area....could not give ME address & phone yet but wanted mine....they were deaf and could only be contacted via TTY....right.

I sweetly wrote back, wished them luck in their move, said to email me again when they arrived and, if the table was still available when they got settled in, I would meet them someplace in person.....'cause I know sign language and we would be able to "talk". And she could bring cash with her. Needless to say, I did not hear back, lol.

LaTigresse -> RE: Is it just me?... (9/28/2011 11:32:47 AM)

I never got one realistic reply on the adds I placed either.
