...GET YOUR F***ING FLU SHOT!!!!!

Nothing kills a play session than vomiting and having unholy body pains (holy body pains is from  playing around).

I got my shot today without waiting in line.  Thank goodness for Medicare.

Besides, I view it as mild needle pain...

tazzygirl -> RE: Its that time of the year... (9/29/2011 3:34:21 PM)

I had mine two weeks ago.

zephyroftheNorth -> RE: Its that time of the year... (9/29/2011 4:05:27 PM)

I'm going to get mine as soon as I finish getting rid of my ^&5* cold <sneezes all over the thread> oops sorry

outhere69 -> RE: Its that time of the year... (9/29/2011 4:24:00 PM)

Have one on for folks who can't get vaccinations like moi!

zephyroftheNorth -> RE: Its that time of the year... (9/29/2011 4:48:06 PM)

Why can't you have vaccinations?

LinnaeaBorealis -> RE: Its that time of the year... (9/29/2011 5:12:59 PM)

I don't get flu shots. Y'all have fun, though. Course, I hardly ever get any flu that knocks me back more than a day anyway.

ShaharThorne -> RE: Its that time of the year... (9/29/2011 5:57:18 PM)

Have to get the shot. I hate vomiting for more than 1 day and running to the ER for some medicine (they gave me one to stop the mess and it made me have the shakes).

RexDarcy -> RE: Its that time of the year... (9/29/2011 6:08:19 PM)

Got Mine on September 26th.

Aylee -> RE: Its that time of the year... (9/29/2011 6:44:29 PM)

I and Butterhead got our flu shots yesterday. [:)]

I went first to show her and tell her that, "See, it is no big deal!"

When the nurse stuck the needle in Butterhead's leg, she started to whine. When the plunger started going down, it got much louder with a look to me that clearly said, "YOU FUCKING LYING BITCH!"

She tried to push the nurse's hands away when the band-aid was going on.

ALL the fussing and crying stopped after I handed her a chunk of chocolate. [:)]

Yes, I had it in my purse for that reason. Cheating, but it works. [:D]

barelynangel -> RE: Its that time of the year... (9/29/2011 6:45:20 PM)

Our office has it scheduled for the 4th so that's when i will get mine.  They pay for it so why not.

ShaharThorne -> RE: Its that time of the year... (9/29/2011 6:54:22 PM)

Yea, got it today after my chiropractic treatment.  Both doctors are in the same building, just yards away from each other.

The doc let us jump ahead of the other patients so the nurses can just inject us and attend to the patients in the exam rooms.

windchymes -> RE: Its that time of the year... (9/30/2011 7:23:58 AM)

Nope, never had a flu shot, never had the flu, ain't gonna get one. I have a good immune system now, and something in my gut tells me not to mess around with it. And I now live in a very rural place with very few people to get exposed to, so, I'm going to just keep passing on it.

tj444 -> RE: Its that time of the year... (9/30/2011 7:32:33 AM)

I havent gotten one in years, aint gonna now, no matter how many people tell me to "GET YOUR F***ING FLU SHOT!!!!!" ... I rarely do what people tell me to do. [:)]

KeriB -> RE: Its that time of the year... (9/30/2011 3:04:06 PM)

I've got a question for those of you that have gotten the shot, have any of you still gotten the flu? If so was it less severe than before you got the shot?

Tantriqu -> RE: Its that time of the year... (9/30/2011 3:06:59 PM)

Thank the gods of science for the 'flu shot! My colds and flus have been much less severe and frequent ever since they permitted 'civilians' to get it, too. Down from 4 times a year to once, ever since.

SCIENCE!

Toppingfrmbottom -> RE: Its that time of the year... (9/30/2011 3:12:43 PM)

KeriB I do not believe in getting flu shots never had a nemonya shot either, have never had one my entire adult life, and I have never gotten the flu nor nemonya. My parents both believe in flu shots and they're sick as a dog 5-6 times a winter, theirs do not lessen the severity of the cold or flu , nor lesson how often they are sick. All though my dr did tell me it was super important that diabetics and pre diabetics get their nemonya shot so I did get that.

ShaharThorne -> RE: Its that time of the year... (9/30/2011 4:01:26 PM)

If I don't get the shot, I end up sicker than a dog.  I got sick with it back in January 2009 because I did not get the shot.  The Alpha slave had to call Sir  to see if I could be taken to the ER.  Sir wants well subs and slaves so I was taken in.  It is not fun vomiting and having someone hold your hair back so it would not get into the toilet.  Not fun either when they give you the wrong medicine that is suppose to stop the vomiting but gives you the shakes (ant crawling feeling).

Since I got back home, I take the shot faithfully.  I don't get sick at all, just bloody noses when the air gets too dry.

No, I have not gotten the flu when I have gotten the shot.

Morning sickness, but not the flu. Frankly it was difficult to tell the difference. [>:]

I got one flu shot in my life. That year I got one of the worst flus I've ever had. I was sick for weeks. It was a different strain of the flu than the one that the flu shot was supposed to make me immune to, I suppose. I have no idea, but I've never gotten another one & I haven't ever been that sick again either. Not even when I got H1N1. That flu shot was 11 years ago. I will probably never get another one.

LookieNoNookie -> RE: Its that time of the year... (9/30/2011 4:25:52 PM)

Wait a minute....I thought "that time of the year" happened in March (April if it's a leap year).

I know "that time of the month" always happens sometime between the 15th and the 22nd.....that's pretty much written in stone....so why you fucking with me on this other one?

You wimmins....always fucking with all the shit I had dialed in.
