Aneirin -> The law is an Industry- Don't talk to the Police (9/30/2011 5:56:41 AM)

Although I really would like to believe different, I am finding it very difficult as our society evolves and that because I have come to the understanding that ,The law, the laws of our respective countries exist to generate industry, that industry being the collection of wealth via laws, to which few are immune.

We are all no matter how law abiding and honourable we think we are, are breaking laws all the time.

You will notice if you click the link a couple of embedded videos, one for the Brits and one for the Americans and further links to more of the same throughout the page.

But is it not sad to think that despite how decent we would like to be, we are all guilty of criminal behaviour all the time and that because of the laws that we don't know about ?

(Edited to add, does everyone speak that fast in the US?)

I've already seen both of those clips.

I heard a story a long time ago about a guy who set out to not break any laws for one day. What he did was to sit in a chair and smoke cigarettes. At the end of the day however it was found that he had broken a law. He had not defaced the center strip on the packet of cigarettes, which at the time had a sor tof tax stamp primted on it. The law requires it be torn, I would guess so that it could not be reused. He had failed to abide by the law.

How's that for on topic ? It would be great to actully find a link to the story, anyone know how to get ahold of snopes ? this would be right up their alley. Maybe I'll give some thought to just how to put a search string together.

T^T

Yeah, so many people say if you are honest and didnt commit a crime, you dont have anything to fear. lol A lot of these were the people that willingly gave up their rights after 9/11.

The video of the cop doing his talk I found quite interesting... they use a lot of sneaky tricks...
