to me, a slave is an owned person and submissive is not. it's not about the degree/depth of submission or how "hard core" you are, at least not to me. but in my own life, i was an owned person and the word "slave" wasn't applied to me because the Dude didn't like it. =p so even my own life rejects my definition. haha nobody knows! it's a difference of how you act towards your Dominant i think. one small example i have is this; one girl and i were talking and agreed that we have done and would do things for our Dominants even if they weren't necessarily enjoyable, or they scared us. Other girls said "hell no!" there's a difference there, but who knows what/why/how it is. and some Masters don't want their slaves doing things that they don't enjoy -- so it's not even about how much "Unfun" stuff you'll do, either. to me, it's just a matter of ownership. there is no consensus because people operate in different ways. one Master wants one kind of response, while another wants a different one -- who is more right? no one. =p
