So far, there is a presence of about 200 permanent residents ... but just remember. Boston is the College city and that alone will bring in big attendance. probably starting tonight..And this ggroup has a lot more hits than even the Wall Street site itself
"4,933 like this"
Guess we'll see in a few days how big it gets

Cool.

I wonder if the cons in DC are watching or ignoring the real tea-party?

These are the types that vote.

The corporate goons are going to be shaking in their boots before too long (with any luck).  Next move--a general strike.

Why? Do you think a bunch of people sitting outside the offices they rarely go to is going to bother them in the least?

A bunch of rude hungover slobs screaming at the office girls as they walk to work will make a lasting impression about leftists generally, I am sure

What WillBe's saying is protest never solves anything... Course, he was busy as a medic over in Nam while protest ended it. He did his part of course. But the protesters definitely did their part too.

Erie Willbe no longer has neurons that will process this but I will say it to you
When I was 5, I saw my first Viet Nam protesters in the newly Named Kennedy Plaza in Providence RI. I knew my Dad ran the VFW for the state and was working at the time with the Johnson Administration to found a new type of "Veteran's Home" (first one like it was a 10 minute ride from my house in Portsmouth). There was a cop there and he was a guy I know served with my Dad in the Marines (cause he and his wife had been sunday dinner guests many times.. you couldn't get 'a cool war story' out of these guys if your life depended on it). Dad went over and talked to his officer friend and all of a sudden the Cop was kneeling down talking to a protester and I realized all of a sudden that the guy was missing a leg. They all kind of laughed about something and my Dad came back over to me while the cop stood there still talking to the man with one leg. I was actually kinda scared about the whole thing and I asked "Daddy, how come you guys didn't arrest him" and he said "Skip, that man is a veteran who just came back from Viet Nam and he doesn't believe it's a war we should be in. john Kennedy, who this place is named for didn't think so either. And that man paid a big price to be able to speak his mind. And if we're lucky, your brother Artie won't have to go because of guys like him"
By 1968 the Biggest Right Winger in Presidential History, Richard M. Nixon, campaigned on a platform promising a "secret plan" to get America out of Viet Nam. And it's agreed that Nixon did so on the basis of Americans protesting (largely just like the occupations... they were just treated ROUGHER) the war.
My Brother never went to Viet Nam (he completely lost his mind and became a DC cop circa 1970 8-) and later looked after Presidents). But the point is he didn't go. Not because of dodging the draft, but because the protests resulted in a lottery that were a result of protesting the war and that the draft was unfair.
Given my Dad was generally right about stuff, I'll go with his opinion whether protest works or not.
Like I said, Willbe musta been busy.

If you dont think theres a difference between a war protest where politicians have to worry about re-election and a protest against corporations, who dont report to anybody but their shareholders, then the mercury must have gotten to you.

Here's your sitting around right here...

Some 24 protesters were arrested taken from the building in plastic handcuffs as the crowd cheered them on."A group went up and purposefully blocked the doors and we asked them to leave," said Police Commissioner Ed Davis. "When they said they didn’t want to and they wanted to be arrested we obliged."

I apologize for not putting out a second republican baby-talk version out ...
WHP BESIDES GOP SPIN ARTISTS are saying the protesters seek an 'audience' with Wall Street??????? You CAN'T be that fucking dense on the Idahoan has that market cornered... This is about Bringing this into the face of the Government for christ's sake... NOBODY believes big money will do anything but face off. The question is ... since they were the entities who wanted us to stay in Viet Nam (Yeah, different Junk man, but the same wealthy circles only the generation has actually changed)....They got congress and Johnson in a good headlock to keep us there, and the head lock is better this time. But the people prevailed and the only real valid question is can they this time? And while I don't think for one minute that anything will come of this right away, I think there will be an outcome that's positive and opens a door to get our country back... Quit trying to con people into thinking someone expects a miracle next week or misidentifying the way the targets are viewed.

Dude ... The anally implanted remote arm, leg, and mouth servos are installed to the entire heh... 'party'.,... Those clowns are all bought and paid for... all they do now when the "No Clue About US History" Tour Bus pulls away is press the 'garage' button and they all waddle into the garage at their house. They wake up monday with a bit of a headache and obtain relief by taking it out of some online forum using terms like "Leftie" or "communist" thinking the normal every day liberal even thinks they're breathing real air.

NOW ... if you want to enjoy a republic starting to take itself back, just go here... a little amateurish... but when you think about the fact that it's all running on batteries... wet as shit, and being done with 'cheap seats' equipment, I am technically impressed.
these people even have clergy services up and running in the group... have a look for yourself:

Reality? Never seen a cowboy from out west last more than about 30 seconds in a bar fight in "the Fours" and THAT'S considered a 'yuppie commuter hole' these days. You give the wrong bostonian shit and a couple seconds later you're fucked you people should know that... the cops were sweating whether they'd have to kill fans again after Stanley Cup and that was a jumbo tron game for the locals
If you get in one of these southie bars and get all right wing talking shit at labor? You'll WISH you were in the Bronx with a hood on.
I am disaffected by Hopalong's impression of the event. In Fact all I care about coming out of that state is where the nude pics of PotatoGirl are///
