This is not a joke question, maybe tongue in cheek,
I need a Mistressy type word for whimpering.
I have been over so many words in the past few years, Im looking for suggestions.
He knows all my sounds when we play intimately, and were he to hear it he would know exactly what I was feeling and whimpering hungrily would describe it best in word play, but its not for intimate touch play, it is just for phone, text play. and theres only so many times you can type the same words before it gets to sounding lame/boring, repetitive.
So please any of you have any suggestions.
email or here would be great.

You didn't make this one easy did ya?

I can think of no word... but will be thinking on this until I find something, thank you very much!

I think you may need a couple words or a phrase to express this one. BBL once I have gone nuts trying to work this one out and hopefully have!

Hmm...whimper....whim...wimp! Okay something opposite whimper....Some sort of....buffper....or Dominaper....

Personally, being catty, I call my noises like that "purrs", because they're involuntary and you can get them by scratching behind my ears. xD I suppose "mewl" would work in the cat theme =P

And if this is for text play, the writer in me has compiled a list of synonyms that might work:

-Soft whine
-"a muffled cry from deep in her throat"
-"a rush of air escaping her mouth in a hesitant moan"

...stuff like that? XD

Hope it helps.

I'd suggest http://thesaurus.com/

a 'throaty murmur of ____' you can get poetic or you can just find obscure words in a dictionary. Or hit up the old simile approach instead of using a direct descriptor, make a comparison. I use to write a lot of erotica, I still write sometimes though I admit like you said you can only rearrange erotic words so often before it all starts to read the same.
You might try finding some other erotic literature to help spark the 'wordsly' creativity, even inventing words sometimes doesn't go amiss if the meaning and context are easily understood. (Presuming no one's grading you on proper english.)

grins and thanks for the ideas ladies, I finally decided to go with "throaty purry of delight"... it seemed to fit and it worked well.
Thankyou for the emails too:)

Roscho...thankyou so much for the list..excellent choices and so many:), however... these are perfect words for a submissive or a very very sad person(as in miserable/pain either mentally or physically), altho there are some excellent other uses for them too.

I was looking for something for me to use to expresss something that made me go weak at the knees, at the time, it sounded like a whimper, but..it was a whimper of pleasure, a whimper escaping out loud at my computer, because I thought it was hot as hell.

Whimper doesnt sound very "in control" so thats what I was looking for..something that a femdom would say to describe the sound.
Im not new to writing porn/scenes/cyber..I just wanted to get out of a rut and use something unusual.

I have made a note of some of the more unusual ones in your list, to torment him with tho, so I really do appreciate your post:)

I had the same list as Rochso.

In that case, I would not look for synonyms for "whimper," but rather for various types of sexually satisfied sounds. Interestingly enough "orgasmic" is not in the Merriam Webster online dictionary, neither is "orgasm." Most "innocuous" but still mildly sexual term I could come up with without a great deal of thought was "pleasure." I think you could find something "mistressly" in this list:

1

the feeling experienced when one's wishes are met <nothing gives me more pleasure than a hot meal after a long day>
Synonyms content, contentedness, contentment, delectation, delight, enjoyment, gladness, gratification, happiness, relish, satisfaction

Related Words afterglow; bliss, felicity, glee, gleefulness, joy, pleasance; amusement, diversion, entertainment; elatedness, elation, exhilaration, exultation, intoxication; ecstasy, euphoria, heaven, rapture; cheer, cheerfulness, exuberance, gaiety (also gayety), jollity, joyfulness, jubilation; joie de vivre; comfort, ease, restfulness

Near Antonyms misery, sadness, unhappiness, wretchedness; anguish, desolation, joylessness, sorrow, woe; dejection, depression, despondency, dispiritedness, gloom, melancholy; aggravation, annoyance, exasperation, irritation, pique, vexation; anger, fury, rage; agitation, distress, disturbance, upset; discomfort, restlessness, uneasiness

Antonyms discontent, discontentedness, discontentment, displeasure, dissatisfaction, unhappiness

2

a source of great satisfaction <the new car is a real pleasure to drive>
Synonyms delectation, feast, gas [slang], joy, kick, manna, pleasure, treat

Related Words amusement, diversion, entertainment, fun, recreation; comfort, relief, solace; gratification, indulgence; ambrosia

3

someone or something that provides amusement or enjoyment <a good-humored girl who's a pleasure to be around>
Synonyms delight, distraction, diversion, divertissement, entertainment, pleasure, recreation

Related Words escape, pastime, time killer; binge, fling, frolic, gambol, lark, revel, rollick, romp, spree; frolicking, rollicking; carousing, conviviality, festivity, gaiety (also gayety), hilarity, jollification, jollity, merrymaking, reveling (or revelling), revelry, whoopee; picnic; laugh, riot, scream; activity, game

Near Antonyms killjoy, party pooper

Antonyms bore, bummer, downer, drag

So, maybe more along the lines of squeal or growl?

I imagine You'll know it when you see it, if enough people throw things up on the wall.

Well said! All of the words I had thought of you stated here already. I would not need my thesaurus with you around.

How about a liltingly, quavering, tremulous or undulating, velvety purr?

And the winning nomination is:

velvety growl of pure delight

It's easy to change as needed, i.e. low purr of female satisfaction....etc, etc.
